No quibble with Mickey's promise, but there's no lack of defensive-minded bigs on the Boston Celtics, and more importantly no lack of bigs who get results on that end. I'm standing up for my guys here: Johnson, Olynyk, Jerebko, and especially Sullinger have all been outstanding this year.

Don't ever quit your day job and become a GM.    We could use some improvement in this area, big time.

You can stand up for these guys all you want but there is something called facts that get in the way.   Memory is faulty, but facts are facts.   Sully shot well last night, rebounded great as usual and still was a -16 in Eff.  Meaning the other guys did really well while he was out there.  That being said, he is probably our best positional defender in the post or a guy who can deny the other post their sweet spot.   That does not mean he is a great defender, no one is voting on him to be all defensive team save you, it means that we could use some help in this area.

Mickey looked ok.  nothing spectacular but looked good on D and rebounding.  liked his dunk -- showed very good athleticism.  would like to see more of him next game to see if that's how he can play given some minutes.

+7

Spurred on a big 2nd quarter comeback, shut down a hot shooting Lyles, cleaned up the glass a bit, made guys think twice about shooting the ball

He played well
Yup

Mickey clogged the offense from being out of position too often.

He did however play solid D.

Mickey is a defensive whiz.  Just by being out there, you almost have 1.5 team on 3 players

His ability to block a shot in a blink of an eye is special.  I read he had a nice one on Hayward

he will get it.  Watchout when he gets some passes downlow. Also his improved jump shot out to the 3 pt line.

Amir - KO
Sully - Mickey

looks good

Jerebko and Zeller as the backup please

mickey is going to be a stud - i've watched him a bunch of times in maine, and he is good at everything, best player i've seen in the d-league by far. high BB IQ, outstanding athleticism, surprisingly soft touch on offense.

he looks good at the NBA level even though he's nervous and inexperienced. imagine how good he'll be once he finds his groove.

Mickey runs the pick and roll nicely but I think he prob won't get many plays.

He does move well off the ball on offense and defense.

But being out of position will be a problem when it's not intentional.

Defensively stout. Offensively very raw but that will go away with time.
