Mickey needs a little time now that Kelly is out and Lee is gone. We should at least see what he can do. He could make a real impact for us, considering our lack of defensive minded bigs and Mickey's clear ability to alter/block shots. We gave James Young 10-15 mpg last year In between the Rondo trade and IT, Mickey should get that same opportunity now with Kelly out. Maybe he seizes the chance and carves out a role for himself in Zeller's place or something.

You can really see that the kid has real defensive abilities.

Zeller was terrible. at one point early in the game Evan Turner was all in Zeller's face and was poking him in the chest.

Brad gettin like Doc and not playing his rookies.  These guys should be seeing some more time especially Rj and Mickey so they can get a better feel for the game.

So who's going to loose minutes? AB,Smart,Turner,Sully,KO,Amir,Zeller? Mickey may get his shot now with Lee gone and KO hurt. You also can't just give them heavy minutes. We don't know how they are playing in practice. Stevens had played these guys in the beginning of the year, but Stevens tightened up his rotations, which means odd men out. I like Hunters game, but I don't think he's better than IT,Smart,AB or Turner.

Mickey may get a shot now with Lee gone and KO hurt, he has a chance to work himself into the rotation.

agree, I just don't see why they will not give this kid 5-7 minutes a game, just to get his feet wet.

As for Zeller, he's soft, and plays with little urgency. He sometimes plays well, as long as his defense, and toughness isn't needed.

this myth has been disproven and dismissed i dont know how many times on this board. doc played rookies when he thought were good enough to play.

I think they will give him a shot if the team plays like this the next few games. It would make for a good spark to the bench. Even 8 minutes mid game is good for the kid. Though this is post All Star break. It's a long enough break to throw teams of their rhythm. It couldn't have come at worse time for the C's. We were on absolute fire that last week. We'll bounce back though. This team has a tendency to do that and it could involve Jordan.

Zeller and Jerebko have paid the price (not playing) and they will get the opportunity in the next 2-3 game .  With Mickey getting a few min here and there

they don't bring it like Zeller last night, Mickey will get more min and Zeller will go back to the bench

It is kinda funny that he has scored pretty much instantly in the 4 opportunities he's had, but it's awfully tough to extrapolate anything from random garbage time samples.  I do enjoy his energy though.
