It's stuff like the way things went down with David Lee that gives the Celtics a good reputation around the league. The Celtics were fair to David Lee. They gave him a chance to play and when things didn't work out, and the moment he was no longer a trade asset as an expiring contract, the Celtics released him to give him a bigger personal opportunity. People around the league see how the Celtics treat players and it speaks volumes. We have a good group running this team. I'm thankful for that.

Yup, wholeheartedly agree with this statement. That has always been the notion with the Boston Celtics. Green got sent to Memphis, Pierce/KG for an chance at a championship, and many others with chances to succeed.

I think this is why players will eventually see BOS as an attractive destination.

Well said, we needed Lee's contract for if there was even a remote chance that we'd make a deal for the deadline, and not 3 days after it passes he's been waived.

I liked lee too and thight he woulda been great when pierce and company were here but man did he suck 99% of the time I watched him.  Good guy though a good uck to him.

Yeah they see how everyone is always a possibility to get moved, with a GM that says there is no loyalty and that he would have traded Bird, who traded away the face of the franchise on multiple occasions already (Walker, Pierce, and then Rondo), etc. 

Ainge did right by Lee, but I honestly don't know why any player would want to come here and play for Ainge.  I mean even a guy with a no trade clause was traded.
