when you do a buyout can you stipulate a specific team someone couldn't play for-if not just let lee sit, anyway he could help nets could change position in draft even one or two wins-

it may depend on how things look with KO, if they decide to buy him out I would think they could tell his agent to find another suiter besides BK, kinda like when they shake hands on signing an extension , they should have an understanding on what team he can't go to.  for his agent to keep a good relationship with ainge he should work with our needs for us to oblige.

it would have been nice to have seen lee play at his new thinner weight as  i believe he was still celebrating that championship in his head, when he came into training and wasn'r ready to do battle and was not used to the young talent  and having to play defence  at 110%
he had a confidence  that his lack of conditioning and age betrayed-i mean ainge sees him all the time,i wish we could have had one more glimpse in game conditions-

Buyout and play Mickey, we have to see what he can do at this level.  NBA DL means nothing really, we have to see what he can do against NBA players, not NBA prospects.

Lee was a model citizen while he was here.  Never complained, seemed to work hard and tried to fit in.  Certainly he played with young talent in GS who are a great defense team, so I'm not sure about those factors.

Having gotten his ring, Lee wanted minutes in Boston with the hope of signing one more contract.  He still wants minutes, but it is clearly going to be somewhere else.   Ainge said last night that something would happen in the next 24-48 hours.  I expect something to happen today so he is not on the bench tonight in Utah.

If he gets bought out, I'd need to know that there is some kind of stipulation where as he wouldn't be able to sign in Brooklyn. If and official agreement like that cannot be reached, I'd be much more comfortable sending him home for the season.

I am not worried about David Lee playing for the Nets.  I think they should just get this done, even with Olynyk injured, if they are going to do it.  David Lee is not that good anymore.  He is not going to help the Nets.  We are probably going to get the 5th pick no matter where David Lee plays.  5th is still way better than anyone thought when we made the trade.

After watching him this season there are people who actually think he'd improve a team like Brooklyn? He isn't improving a team that plays him big minutes... His role is end of the bench spot minutes on a contender, and that will probably be the market for him
