He just said during the Bulls/Cavs telecast that he felt the Celtics were one of the biggest threats to challenge the Cavs in the East (that's a paraphrase).

Nice to hear our team get a bit of national love.

It would be even sweeter to make some serious noise with our crop of "cast-offs." Very easy team to root for as they round out the season.

I think conference finals is a legitimate goal for our cast offs.  At that point, I think they could get two games off the Cavs.

Then, turn around and get a top five pick in the draft.  Sweet!!!!

I'll be right there rooting them on with you. It will be great to get back to the schedule tomorrow night. :)

I just hope that with the amount of attention we are starting to get, that we don't end up coming up short playoff time. The last thing I want is for people to call us "overrated" and stuff like that.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

I don't think we will beat the Cavs this year, BUT I think we are the type of team if Danny chooses to keep it intact, where a rivalry starts building up and the players grow into great players...Every great team were bounced a couple years straight before reaching the ultimate goal! That is how they grow!

Who else but the Cavs who most people hate to play that role for us...everyone hates them, and if getting beat by them help our players grow...I am all for that. You don't become a great team without beating one of the best teams in the NBA. LeBron said himself, he grew from battling the Celtics and the Big 3. Now it is his turn...his words end up biting HIM in the ass a year or two later. I hope LeBron and co are the reason why we ultimately become one of the best team in the NBA!

Respect Reggie. He should've came in 2008 to get his ring.

A lot of people or teams used to hate the Celtics because of their Big 3 of Paul Pierce/Kevin Garnett/Ray Allen, and the jerks Rajon Rondo and Kendrick Perkins.

Now all these guys in green today are a respectable bunch who plays night in and out with all their hearts. I could see a lot of non-playoff teams cheering for us.

Then there would've been no James Posey or Eddie House and very likely no championship.

We are the likable Hawks, thanks mainly to Smart, Crowder, and IT4.

He was trying to get in shape to do so, but just didn't have enough time.

I respect Reggie, I just don't know why some on here can't stand his commentary. I think he is fine.

I've generally not liked him as a commentator, but he won me over a bit last night wth his Celtics comments.

  • That's turrible
I enjoy that we're starting to make some noise around this league again. Charles Barkley mentioned a while back on Inside the NBA that the best game he's watched this season was the Celtics vs. Warriors. Hopefully we get a nice draft pick and become a real threat in a year or 2.
