it's official Lee bought out

The Celtics will reach buyout agreement with David Lee, reports have indicated. Lee missed practice today as result, per @GwashburnGlobe.

Toronto would be PERFECT. He might do just enough to get them to drop below us in the standings.

I don't believe it has actually happened yet, but it's coming in the next day or two.

I'll believe it when I see it but there seems to be a place for him, at least these next few weeks. I'm glad I'd rather see Mickey out there than Dwight Coward for half a year. Let's see what we have

We should David Lee for his professionalism. He was traded to the C's in hopes of getting a rotation spot in a contract year. He didn't get it. He spoke up about wanting PT, but he was never disgruntled or resentful.

To address the thread topic, I think we'll see Mickey get some garbage time minutes, but nothing regular.

Mickey is averaging close to 5 blks per game and 10.5 rebs in the d-league

Really think he could be a Whiteside type big man , without the knucklehead fator. Plus he has that bass type mid range game .

Give the kid some mins! Could be helpful come the playoffs

Who takes Kelly's 20 minutes per game for the next 2+ weeks then? I guess Brad could just distribute them out amongst the guys already in the rotation, but we know for a fact that Brad is intrigued by Mickey, and you couldn't ask for a better opportunity to get him some minutes.

Really hoping DLee doesn't go to the Nets.

He'll get plenty of minutes and immediately becomes their third best player and in NYC, he's got a big stage AND motivation.

Hope Danny had a wink-wink with him about "no Nets".

why would a vet at the end of his career go to the nets ? He wants another ring

Lee's got his ring. I think he just want to go to the best place that will give him minutes for his contract next year. Nets do seem like a good place for him to contribute and actually play(lets hope not). I could see him going to Miami as well as no ones really sure how long Bosh will be out.
