Danny is gonna have to make some moves between now and free agency, that's for sure.  Wayyyyyy too many picks.

My guess is there'll be a lot of anxiety heading into the draft after the Celts pull a 2014/2015 Raptors in the 1st round.

I'm not losing faith. Last year, at this time, I didn't know It4 was on this team.

But no one else at the bottom sold off, except arguably Phoenix, and Morris was at best neutral for them.

Disagree, I think there is tons of potential to draft and stash and let a few guys walk. Next year we will see Mickey filling Zeller's role, Young Jerebko's role and Hunter/Rozier in Young's role. And the non-brooklyn pick players moving back and forth to Maine. Im sure we will see guys like Jeanne, Korkmaz, etc getting drafted by us and biding our time. We still have valuable assets moving forward and the players we already have will only be gaining value.

In this scenario, half the roster is comprised of rookie contract guys playing less than 15 minutes a game.

That sounds like a good plan to you?

It is unfortunate Boston will have a top 5 pick in such a weak draft. After Simmons, there is not much to get excited about. Ingram to me looks like he weight 100 pounds and will get beat up in the league.

Maybe we can trade it for a Winslow, Stanley Johnson, Aaron Gordon type player if it falls out of the top 3?

Even in a weak draft a top 5 pick usually means you've got a shot at a valuable player.  Though it might mean it's harder to identify which guy to pick.

Worse for the Celts is that they own another bajillion picks much later in this weak draft.  Most of them are probably going to turn into draft and stash guys who never actually play for the Celts.

Hoping they can turn a Jeff Green for Ray Allen type of deal, then attract 2 elite players..But I would also like to see some of the bloat trimmed off the team..Zeller, Amir won't be retained..Wish they would move James Young and Rozier..they are guys that are never going to play..Resign Sully and try to sign Turner..

From the person , ME , who picked Fab Melo ......there is no telling who will pan out in the draft ......there was White everybody was gaga about ,  several others that were raved about are barely in the league .

Agree with Prosita .......it's just not clear who the next Dammond Green or Curry or Milsap or IT or Bazemore .....guys drafted down could turn out at 2-30 nearly good or,better than Simmons .

Some guys it's mental .....they leave college , and they are unleashed Lions ......others dry up,and wilt on the vine ......fad off into obscurity

Nobody knows for sure .

I think Hunter and Mickey will be good before its all said and done.

But there is no way Boston keeps all 3 first round picks..just not enough room on the team. Brooklyn pick is going to net a top 5 player OR be traded for a good vet..that has value..

Could see them dumping one or both of the second and third first rounders...but think they keep one of them

Did it sound like a good plan to you last year when people said Jae Crowder would be the starting SF on a borderline 50 win team?

I mean, no, its not ideal. I would like a clear upgrade in talent just as much as anyone else. But I have to stay with what I know and what is proven. So far our coach has shown himself to be a solid talent evaluator. Which has led to wins, theres not much that you can argue against that. I mean, philosophical changes happen every 20 years or so, I feel as though we are transitioning and our coach is one of those leading the charge. Younger players are more malleable.

It's very probable that one or more of the firsts could be guys stashed overseas for a year or two, including a potential top-5 pick in Dragan Bender.
