We have Smart, Bradley, Isaiah, Crowder, Kelly, Rozier, Young, Mickey, Hunter all under good contracts totally 35 million.  We have options on Amir and jerebko totalling 17 million. The Salary Cap could hit 100 million in a couple years and is due to jump at least 20 mil this offseason.  We have three free agents in Sully, Zeller and Turner who would most  likely be resigned.  We are limited in roster spots but have tons of picks(8 total this offseason and 3 firsts potentially). Lee's contract won't be here anymore.  We are basically right where we left off but a deal is going to have to be made this offseason.

If the Celtics do nothing at today's deadline it wouldn't be a bad thing. I would expect Danny Ainge will make some moves near or on draft day. Boston has too many picks to bring all those rookies onto the roster.

The Celtics are in great shape if we do nothing. Ainge is working from a position of strength, he has no pressing need to do anything right now. We will still have a great stock of draft picks, prospects, and tons of cap space this June.

In good shape.  No deal is better than a bad deal.  Just keep getting assets, upgrade when and where you can and try to hit a star with one of these three Nets picks.

Sittin pretty ....like FAT RATS

Waiting for LeBron to loose it .....Go bonkers leave .....

Danny waiting with his bag .....to snap up the best pieces floating around this Summer .

We'll be locked and loaded next fall .......with Love or Horford , new LOTtERY  player, Mickey ., fully healthy IT and Smart and Crowder .   I think Hunter stays in Boston too......as AB is flipped with KO and Sully

Still in Boston ...  ;)

Very good shape. Plus DA has built bridges according to reports. If you get no deal there is some paths now open in off season.

If we do nothing before the deadline, we're ultimately still in good shape.  But something HAS to be done before the draft.

They have I think NINE total picks in this year's draft...that's absurd.  You just simply can't have that many picks in a draft.  Deals will be made, but not necessarily by this deadline.

We are dealing from a position of strength but as we approach the summer we will have to figure out how to deal with the roster crunch.  It will be interesting to me how that plays out.  Who stays, who goes, if any picks are stashed overseas, will there be any consolidation trades prior to free agency ect.  I think I'm fine with standing pat now to not overpay in a trade, but eventually we'll have to deal with this roster crunch.

We have 4 pretty decent picks this summer...

Brooklyn's, Dallas', our own and the Philly 2nd.   We also have some crappier 2nd rounders.   We can try to trade up, but worst-case we will just let Zeller, Sully, Lee, Turner, Jerebko and Amir walk and replace them with our draftees + two slots for max contracts.

If the Celtics do nothing we will make it to the 2nd round of the playoffs this year then lose.. we would still have a very very bright future ahead though.

Good shot to have HCA in the 1st round, good shot to win a series, decent shot to win two.

No bad contracts, young up-and-coming players locked up at favorable salaries.  One All-Star (cheap), 2-3 All-Defense candidates (cheap).

Coach who's getting the most bang for the buck talent-wise in the league, major (though not unusual) offseason cap room, two nonguaranteed contracts to dangle in offseason trades, savvy, long-term oriented front office.

Likely top 5 pick, 2 other 1sts to use or trade, several more future 1sts and 2nds, including 2-3 with a solid chance to be top 10 or better.

...in other words, huge disappointment, fire Danny and replace him with CB brain trust ASAP  ;)

We're going to have 2 max deals worth of cap space and a top 5 pick as a 3 seed.  The sky is falling!
