Curry Question

Let's have a discussion while we're waiting for the trade deadline to pass....

I was thinking about this earlier today. Let's say a Steph for IT4 trade happened (Obviously impossible, but let's play along) Would the addition of only Curry make the Celtics a title contender?

Also, what would it do to the Warriors? Do they stay the 1 seed? Are they middle of the pack in the west now?

The point of this thread is this, is Steph good enough by himself to carry a team like LeBron did, or is he just in the PERFECT spot in San Francisco?

I don't think we'd win it.  We would be losing our best player for a similar but obviously much greater player.  I think we'd need a big guy upgrade to win it with Curry.

Hard to say. When he was largely by himself a few years ago, the Warriors were a good team, but a step below OKC, the Spurs, and some might argue the Clippers. They were in that mid-tier range with Denver, Memphis, and so on.

Since then they've acquired a TON of quality depth around him, but he's also made astronomical leaps in his own right.
