Dont make a move Danny keep all the picks that you have. Wait to see where that Brooklyn pick lands than make your move with those picks. If we need to throw in 2 more first rounders to trade up to get Simmons would we all do it? Don't get caught up in a year when we aren't going to win a title. Build toward next year. If the Cavs want to dump Love they will in the summmer. Just my take. Thoughts?

If we are the third pick, and to move up to #2 it would probably cost another Brooklyn pick I bet. I feel that the bos and dal pick can be consolidated in the 10-13 range depending where the picks land

Well we can't keep all of the 2016 picks - there are only so many roster spots.  And we would have to trade multiple Brooklyn picks to move up to the #1 pick this year, at the very least; I don't think any combination of our 2016 first rounders would move us up to #1.

Keep the stash of them wait till you know what you have and where those picks are at. I would rather wait than rent a player like Horford who we can go get during Free agency. We dont know where those picks are going to fall and if somebody else shakes loose. We all knew it would be a five year rebuild it is only year 2. Look at the improvement. The time will be right to make that epic trade.

If we are offered Okafor for the BKN pick I think it would be a good move to trade in that scenario. The Suns are really crapping the bed inside of the tank. Also in this draft I think it would take a lot to move up even just 1 spot in order to get in the top 2.

Nah. Ingram, Bender, Rabb and Brown are all pretty good prospects. No reason to take such a risk for Simmons  that might turn out to be less good than the rest in the long run.

Besides, teams very rarely agree to give up a first pick no matter what you offer.

I'd like to trade our pick, the Dallas pick and the 76ers pick to move up to like 10th or so (but as late as 12th), assuming the Dallas pick is 13th or higher.  That means we will get one from each of these groups:

Nets Pick: Simmons, Ingram, Bender, Dunn or Brown

"Combo" Pick: Skal L, Hield, Murray, Poeltl, Diamond Stone, Ellenson or Rabb

I'm really happy with that and the draft falls off a cliff after that.

If we come out of the draft with Ingram and Poeltl, I'll be happy. Or instead of Poeltl, Luwawu and Valentine.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

I'm having trouble getting psyched about drafting more prospects we won't give meaningful playing time.

The more interesting question is what will Danny do with that Brooklyn pick on draft day if it doesn't end up in the top 2-3.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

To me this looks really expensive: give up three picks (virtually the philly pick is a first rounder too) to move up only 3 places.

We have no roster spots and I like the top 12 picks a ton.
