Supposedly the Bulls are "aggressively shopping" Pau Gasol.

What would you give up to get him?  I'm not sure how much better he'd make the Celts, but I think he'd definitely be an upgrade.

How about Sullinger, Jerebko, and 2016 DAL 1st for Pau & Tony Snell?

It's not an exciting package for the Bulls, but it fits the "decent young player plus 1st round pick" profile that most teams seem to be asking for in trade rumors, and they can't expect to get much more than that for a 35 year old on a de-facto expiring deal.

Celts get a year and a half of Tony Snell (RFA in summer 2017) as long term value even if Pau goes elsewhere in the summer.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

I am in. Pau has been playing great ball, and he'd be a perfect fit in Brad Stevens offense. Only issue is, he's not that 1st star danny is looking for, and if he accepts the option, that's just more cap space used up while you're still looking for stars. No sure it's a deal Danny will do.

I think that is in the ball park maybe add in the 2016 Cs pick or one of Rozier, Young, Hunter.

If I was Chicago I'd be looking to dump salary and get prospects. Specifically Rozier and Mickey. Mickey and Portis would be nice bigs to pair. Then with cap space go after a big FA.

Dun, Gasol and Brooks are all in decline but can help for two years. McBuckets is simply ok. So no picks just a cap and future move for Bulls. C's do it if they really want to push for a finals appearance.

If I was Danny Ainge and I was offered this for Paul Gasol I'd jump all over it. Probably not resigning Sully or bringing back Jerebko next year anyways. Bring in another All Star and one that can fit our system really well.

PG: Isaiah Thomas
SG: Avery Bradley
SF: Jae Crowder
PF: Amir Johnson
C: Paul Gasol

it's meh.  I think the most important thing Pau would bring to the team is championship experience which no one in the lockerroom has.  from everything I've heard about him, he's supposedly an upstanding guy that puts the team first.  if that's true, it wouldn't be a horrible pick up if the price was really cheap.  Lee and one of Young or Hunter.  maybe a couple of non-Philly seconds added in if needed.

Use Pau Gasol and go on that championship run like how the Lakers did in 2008 and bam win #18!

Chicago fans supposedly don't like Pau a bit because he doesn't play defense. Or at least  that's what they said when we played them this year.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

His legs are gone. He can't change directions or move quickly enough to play solid defense.

Gasol would be intriguing but I wouldn't spend a lot to get him. He has always been an enemy but I guess we can use him for the stretch run.

Pau Gasol I think would be a great fit for us and I think we could get him for a good price.  I don't think we'd have to give up Sully in this deal and I rather not, cause I think we'll resign him to a good deal.

Bulls
Pau Gasol

Celtics
Jonas Jerebko
Terry Rozier
Two of our 2nd round picks.

while this is the boring part of trade discussions (for most, understandably -- i happen to enjoy it), Gasol's salary doesn't match up well with the Cs.

If you trade Lee there (say, plus a pick), the Bulls would have to add in 1-2 more players to make the numbers work. And then so too would the Celtics, who I don't believe would offer ANY rotation player or young player into such a deal.

I mean, would Ainge do Lee + Young for Gasol + (dead weight / injured / expiring) Noah? Would the Bulls? The teams hardly look like strong trade partners...

He will probably make us slightly better. but he is getting old.
I rather wait for a younger star or keep our team.
