His brother seems like the good one. When the Suns traded him all the noise came from Markeiff not Marcus. Markieff is the bad egg as I see it. Plus he has a felony charge hanging over him which could mean jail time. I don't want to take that on

I can see us making a move for Markieff only in case Danny thinks Sullinger will ask for too much money in the summer. Morris has an attractive 8 mill per year contract until the 2018-19 season.

Sully and the C's 2016 pick for Markieff is not a bad deal (again provided Sully will ask for too much in order to stay).

But with Sully in the team, adding Morris doesn't make sense.

If you compare their stats per 36 mins, Sully is the better rebounder, Markieff a (slightly) better shooter but otherwise they are pretty similar.

tp greece -nice comparison--morris shots the three better- sully even had battery charges but sully's weight with a long term contract has to be a major issue as a health concern
i assume the courts give them some slap on the wrist and that guy hood will get them in civil court  for alot of money-

Yeah that's the story, both were involved. The ex mentor scout said it was misinterpreted but whatever, it doesn't excuse what happened. People held it against Okafor when he punched the Boston fan, people went at Sully when he had the domestic abuse scandal, I don't see this as much difference. A stable person would be able to control their emotions and walk away from it.

I just don't see the need for him here, he isn't a fantastic talent, he doesn't garner much if any respect from other players and most importantly when things have gone badly with his team he hasn't continued to improve his craft to better himself and help get himself out of it, he has whined and caused trouble. If he was a superstar like Cousins then I could hear an argument that talent outweighs trouble, but not for him

TP Greece - this is kind-of my sentiment as well. It would be great if Danny could gauge what Sully was going to make next year because Markieff would make a nice, cost-controlled replacement. I understand being cautious in obtaining a personality like Morris, but his play seems tailor-made for our system.

With the NBA trade deadline approaching, focus locally has been on the Celtics acquiring such high-ticket items as DeMarcus Cousins, Al Horford and Dwight Howard. But in speaking with Michael Felger on Monday's Sports Tonight, Chris Mannix mentioned a player no one's talked about yet.

The Suns' Markieff Morris, a 26-year-old, 6-foot-10 forward who was Phoenix' No. 1 draft choice (13th overall) in 2011, is on the market. According to Yahoo!'s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Suns are seeking a first-round draft choice and a "young player" for Morris, who's averaging 11.6 points and 5.2 rebounds per game this year. Morris has requested a trade and Phoenix isn't expected to bring him back next season, even though he has three years remaining on his contract.

"[Interest] in him is going to grow, I think, exponentially as we get close to the trade deadline," Mannix told Felger (skip to 3:35 mark of video above).

"Not a sexy name, I grant you, but a guy that can play multiple positions, has been a proven scorer in Phoenix last year (15.3 ppg). Been a bit dysfunctional this year with the Suns because of how he's behaved off the floor . . . [But] Markieff could turn out to be a decent player and a solid bench guy if Boston can get him on the cheap."

Completely agree. His "value" contract is all he has going for him and unfortunately he comes with the contract

I don't really agree. He's a very good all-around player - good defense, can make the 3, finishes at the rim, good rebounder, no real weaknesses except attitude. Seems like a similarly good player as Sully (and better than our other bigs), but the difference is that he's signed through '18-'19 at a bargain $8m/yr. Suns want a young player and a pick. Let's offer Jerebko, Young and C's '16.
