Anyone else getting annoyed that Sullinger cares more about style points at the line then just knocking them down? I just don't understand the whole ball pump and then shot. And his numbers are down to 63 percent.

Also wondering if he had the same routine last season if anyone knows? If he didn't, he should just knock it off. It's not so cool if you can't knock them down.

Lastly, chill out Rondo haters. This post is about Sully who went from a good free throw shooter to a poor one.

Sullinger's always done that (or at least since his rookie year). I have no clue how it works. I tried doing it for fun one day and it totally destroyed my shooting touch (because when I palm a ball it's no longer on my finger pads the way I shoot it).

I think he ruined his FT tough shooting too many bombs in the offseason.   He has had the same style last year  as I recall.  But cutting out excessive movement is good in any sport and always helpful in basketball.

Right. It just seems unnatural to extend the ball out like that.

I guess if he's always been shooting it that way that the numbers may eventually even out.

TP for the info.

I stand corrected, while he has did this last year.   He did not do in 2013.

You may be on to something.

TP for the find. I looked myself and couldn't find any clips.

The thing that bothers me the most, about his free throws percentage, is that Sully has such a soft touch. There's really no excuse for him to be shooting 63 percent from the line. Something has to be at fault.
