do the Celtics even realize the gem they have in this second overall pick coming off the bench? He is the only Celtic not named Thomas that can get to any spot he wants on the court. He has incredible handles. We cannot trade this guy!!!

Agreed...  I never did understand the ET hate and the argument that he is stunting Smarts growth

ET IS THE MAN! that is all.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Turner is our X-Factor....Dude can take over a game, when he is ON...But he HAS to play the PG---not off-guard....He's Very good with seeing the entire court....He's the reason we were even int this game (I'm the one who gave him the name Evan Turnover----sorry ET).

Crowder's ankle is hurt, and Evan is stepping up.

If he demands the money anywhere in the neighborhood of what Crowder and Bradley makes, we gotta keep this guy.

From the start I've supported Turner, when everybody else seems to bash him.

The guy has flaws - no question about it.  He can't shoot threes to save his life, and sometimes he gets TOO excited and makes bad decisions with the ball.

BUT there are few guys on this team who can take over games the way Turner can, and there are stretches where he is so dominant that he looks like a legit All-Star.  It doesn't happen all the time (which is why he's a backup and not an All-Star) but the impact he has on this team is massive.

He has massive cojones and gives no [darn] about what anybody thinks.  Sometimes it's destructive, but he has won us a LOT of games with his fearless heroics.

I was with you.  I didn't get how everyone thought he was the odd man out when he was arguably our best player during the playoff push.

TP......been a BIG fan since he got here. Glad to see him getting some love.

His standup vs Sir Lance when ET defended Hibbert in a bloody fistfight in a Pacers practice showed me his character.

Love the guy.

That being said, he could win the Finals MVP, and some people still wouldn't like the guy. I don't get it.

EDIT: And TP to everyone else in this ET love fest.

while i am hesitant to speak for the rest of cbers here, i think what frustrates many people is turner's inconsistency. he has a great pass or score followed by a silly 3 point shot 6 seconds into the possession.

when he plays within CBS' system, he does pretty well. but he runs into a LOT of trouble when he plays hero ball and tries to put the team on his back and do everything.

i was always impressed by his ability to drive to the basket and make a nice layup or shot 2 point shot. but then i was depressed by his consistently bad decisions and attempts to make very  low percentage shots out of control.

tonight was almost all "good turner" and it is easy to love him. let's see if he can keep it up.

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Let's roll with this team...minimal trades....if Danny could somehow get Kyle Freaking Korver----we could find ourselves in the ECF at the least-!

I said a week ago that he deserves a 4 year deal around 16m. That is clearly VERY wrong.

I bet Danny would give him a 4 year, $30million contract.

ET suffers from not being consistent. Also his commitment can seem questionable at times. I am not sure if that is true or if he is just one of those players who some nights tries to make it happen and he gets the ball in the wrong places at the wrong times or it just never finds its way to him.

He has great skills and we need him to support and work with IT, AB and MS the way the team is now. Maybe he is about ready to find the consistency from reading games well and being in the right places. I hope so because he is a great asset when he does.
