Amazing win over the Cavs! But what got me was the final play CBS drew up. I actually thought it was a broken play until i paid attention to Sully's screen. The pass from Isaiah was a bit off for the catch and shoot, but the defense was definitely fooled. How does he keep coming up with these plays!

We just took the  Cavs best punch and still kicked ass with a gimpy Crowder. Im stoked!!!!

Great win but you can't call this the Cav's best punch when Love leaves with an injury.

It was a broken play. It was originally for a 2 for IT, but he got swallowed up and saw Bradley. That's what AB said to reporters anyways.

Or when they miss all their free throws. At one point, weren't they 13/26?

I'll take a team that plays together and with spirit over 2 guys any day of the week.  Superstar players can be detrimental to development.  I'm honestly concerned about what we are going to do with all these picks for that reason.  I love how this team is developing. We can blow it in a variety of ways.

If there is one thing I hate about the internet and have never agreed with it's the focus on the other stuff instead of what we have and getting better as a team.  More in a positive sense.  Players don't play well at times but it doesn't mean we should trade them.

The key to seeing the plays design is Sully's screen. The play is designed to get two looks in the same corner. Thomas was option 1, but if it wasn't there AB would use the Sully screen to get free for IT to kick out...  IT pass was just a bit low so he couldn't catch and shoot..  So AB improvised a bit but it was designed for the shot...  Or so i feel at least :)

I mean, you can't be this picky, though. Crowder and KO both played like crap with like five combined points, so did we not give them our best punch, too?

Um no.  Sully was screening ABs defender.  He was definitely an option on that play.

Love Stevens, but the last play looked like great individual plays by IT and AB more than a good set.

Can't hold that against us - Love is always injured, and Cavs took that gamble when they gave him a $100M contract over the next 5 years.

It's not like we got lucky - the fact that their team is made of glass is basically a key characteristic of that team, and a key reason why they got spanked by Golden State last year.

Plus I question whether having Love's soft butt in there would have made any difference anyway.

You would think so, but if Bradley said otherwise then I would tend to think he would know best about what the intention was :)

A lot of the credit for this result against the Cavs (yee-ah) has got to go to Stevens.

The saying that 'a champion team will beat a team of champions' applies here. He has the players believing and playing for each other. IT has been great but not on a pedestal like LBJ. CBS puts out 10 guys who can all contribute and finds the ways to make it work.

Can we beat the Cavs in a playoff series? Probably not, but we are closer than last season and getting better. If you can do that season after season you will become a contender.
