I might give up Olynyk for Dwight. Olynyk + 1st + D.Lee.

It should be D.Lee instead of Amir if Olynyk is in the trade package.

Olynyk isn't necessarily off the table for me.

This poll is pointless, of course everyone will vote no. The Brooklyn picks and Smart aren't even on the table for Howard obviously

and you know this how? I could see Danny giving up the 2017 brk pick for a chance at Howard to lift us to the ecf and attract another max player here next year while keeping our core in tact ( Smart, Crowder, KO, IT , 2016 and 2018 brk picks )

Guards: Anyone but Isaiah, Smart, and Bradley

If we are not treadmilling and trying to win it all, even with those three we need a tall shooting guard. Datome, Pressey - those guys had low ceilings but were ready made. We can't count on Hunter, Young, or Rozier this year.

Even Turner should probably be off the table. We lack depth at guard.

Any pick but the Brooklyn picks. That's an easy call.

D. Howard would not be fireworks. It'd be more like having Shaq. Maybe even better because Howard is younger. I've been saying to go for Howard for months. He is a mini form of fireworks.

His contract is running out. He is maybe worth a bit more than Rondo was last year? Maybe he is worth Sully?

They can have one of Amir or Zeller.

They can have Turner if they can give us back a serviceable pg. Or where the heck is Phil Pressey?

I've been calling for an upgrade in the form of tinkering.

It goes without saying they can have David Lee.

Sully, Amir or Tyler+Lee, and the Dallas pick for Howard? I have no clue what's available or what would make sense, what matches up. I find trade speculation in general kind of pointless.

But yes, bring D. Howard to the Celtics and he might be the final piece to an unimaginable Cinderella finish and #18, this year, now.

Obviously I don't know this that's why we're talking about it on a forum. I said it's a dumb poll because there is no lesser offer. I don't think it's a dumb poll tho, I know it is.

Let me reverse the question and put in what I would not give up for Dwight.

Isaiah Thomas
Jae Crowder
Marcus Smart
Kelly Olynyk (like his fit with Dwight)
Brooklyn Picks
Future picks from 2020 onwards

Anything and anyone else is fair game.

I'm with you on this. But I'll add Evan Turner, the logo can win you a playoff game by himself.

All of these options are a gross over pay. Lets not forget Howard is a player with limited skills who was a star because of his elite athleticism. At this stage in his career his still is a very good player but age and injury are effecting him. On top of this he hasnt had a good track record with his last two teams and is a FA after this season. I personally think the biggest package the Cs can resonably offer would be something involving Amir, Sully, Young, 2016 Cs 1st and Mavs 1st. That to me is an over pay for what may be a half season rental on a damaged star.

Lee, Johnson & Bradley for Howard and Harden works on trade machine. Might have to throw in  1st and a couple of seconds, but would do it, even if Houston doesn't want to throw that in.
I'm good with that. Get it done Danny

How about Lee and/or Zeller and a top 60 protected 2nd round pick?  Howard isn't worth the price of a 1st round pick or an early second for a 1/2 year rental.

He would improve the team this year and he might resign here but I don't think DA give much of value for him.

I'd rather roll the dice on a late 1st round pick or early second round pick and hope for the next Butler or Parker than have Howard for 1/2 a year.

I read the poll and couldn't follow it, so I didn't vote.

i don't think i'd give up anything of value.  howards nba old.  he's a loser. and what's the point?   finish 2nd in the east?   who cares.   i don't get the appeal of bringing in old players here.  people want this team to be a contender and it just isn't close.  they need to be looking at the next six to ten  years, not next two or three.  I wish it wasn't that way, but it is.   like smart and ben simmons type generation.   not kevin love and gallanari.

Yes, that seems accurate. However, Howard could be the missing piece to a title. He would be redundant to no one. It would be similar to Dallas thinking Rondo could put them over the top, so they rolled the dice.

They liked Crowder, but he was young and there was a logjam ahead of him?

Anyway, we are losing Sully anyway or he doesn't fit in and is overrated. Or Amir has plantar fasciitis. By the time that clears up, will he be over the hill? How many mid to late first round picks do we need? We have three straight Brooklyn picks we should keep, unless Brooklyn pulls off a miracle in the off-season.

Young would be part of an overpay?

I'd give Young away for free at this point. He could prove me wrong. If he does, I will eat crow. Same with Sully. Of the three, I like Amir the best. He looks so fragile, though, and reminds me of KG post-injury needing minutes reduced.

I wouldn't lose much sleep over a deal with Houston for Superman. I would for a DeMarcus Cousins who would force one to mortgage the farm.

Under the outside deck are My old 10 year old sneaker s with dried dog poo .....would work for me me I guess.

Smells about like Howard's game.

I would not trade a homeless mans boxer shorts and a Lakerd D league ticket for Clyde Drexler in this deal.

Amir, JJ, either one of the young kids or Zeller, and maybe a late first pick.  Anything much more than that IMO is an overpay for a rental.

I haven't checked the Rockets roster but do they even have room for say a 3 for 1 deal?

Since he is going to be a free agent, a late first and a second rounder is it for picks. Lee and I hope not many more players going out.

I feel a multi-team deal coming on.
