I assume his agent probably thinks he's done enough to earn a multi-year deal. I'm curious to know what people think about what he deserves and what teams would give it to him.

I think 4 years 16m.

He seems durable.

I'm having a hard time believing he'll only get $4 million per in the market, and that he'd accept that long a contract at that price range.

I think he'll find something in the $7-8 million range.

But who knows.

Agreed. Maybe as low as $6mil, because he's not a prototypical player. But some team will value his versatility enough to pay him fair market value.

I think he winds up at or a little above whatever the Early Bird number winds up being for year 1.  This year that number was $5.739 million.  Next year it should crack $6 million.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
Evan Turner at $6M/yr with the cap increase would be a bargain. I know he is a polarizing figure around CB, but his versatility comes in handy more often than not. I would expect him to get fewer ball-handling duties as Smart (and even Rozier) develops.

Pay that man.

What? Dunno, but don't come at him with an insulting offer of 4m, especially after the cap explosion!
