this has been a tough time for zeller it caused him to be hesitant on shots and play tight,he missed shots that he usually hit at a very high %, even layups and put backs
i have always thought that zeller was the ultimate backup for brads system and i believe the 2nd half of  season will be kind to kelly,jerebko and zeller-
injuries around the league and teams without a bench as good as ours,the spreading the floor will benefit turner and zeller pick and rolls,zeller runs the court is young and hasn't seen much time where sully and amir maybe feeling it
i think people forget zeller% from outside last year was something like 60% 12-15ft and 54.5 fg%
how valuable zeller is will be seen-the 2nd half will be tough for those lumbering 7 footers  and zeller is 82% from foul line
correct me here if i'm wrong but didn't tyler start most first quarters and score in a flurry before bigs started coming out and he would run them and then go silent

Zeller should be playing 25 minutes a game...It's a shame what Stevens has done to him this year...The more he plays, the more productive he becomes...I don't know what the Celtics will do with him at the end of this year, but I hope it works out well for Zeller...He deserves it...

Zeller played last night because NY's length was giving us problems.  I see no issue with using him based on match-ups.

Offense has never been Zeller's problem.  His problem is that he's not a defensive presence and he's a below average rebounder.

CBS is probably going back to Cali but he isn't giving Zeller 25mins! KO doesn't get 25, even though he shoots lights out and is killing it on defense. Nah, that's not CBS' MO.


He has already gone back to Z, just not going to give these guys a lot of mins this year with the logjam.

Zeller is prone to having tunnel vision on defense. He is a Nenad Krstic styled player. He's perfect for the last big off the bench in a rotation. Play him 10-25 minutes depending on match-ups. Lock him up for a Jae Crowder five year deal 35 million. Maybe he can bulk up like Kelly tries to do. He is a pure center who could perhaps learn some PF or basically improve on his BB IQ. That's his problem on defense.

On offense, he is perfect. He is automatic on the mid-range like Bass was. He fits in perfectly for the running style. He is quite reliable at the rim.

Rollie called this early and often. Zeller got ripped off sharing duties with David Lee, then he probably got a bit rusty. Now he is back to how he was last year. No complaints here.

Tonight's game is huge. On the road against a big team with a similar record.

The Cleveland game should be some form of barometer also.

It's all good. Tyler Zeller is a pro's pro. Think of him like a Krstic and you won't be disappointed. A team is not just about getting two or three stars and filler. At least that's not the way this Danny model seems to be forming. I see there are rumors of Dwight Howard. I would love that. One or two little tinkering moves. Zeller is not the problem.

Last night was a good 'up the trade value' game. Give teams a taste of what he can do on a good night with minutes coming his way. That's the best case for Zeller on this team as it's constructed right now.

I don't know - Kelly barely gets 20MPG - I would rather just increase his minutes. Zeller seems like a nice guy and I am happy he was ready when called upon, but I certainly don't want to tie money up into him long term...unless, of course, we sign two superstars this off-season and can over the cap to sign him (and Sully).

this win will boost his confidence-zeller is a player that needs routine and higher bounce passes(true but a joke) with timing ,confidence and pass in right place zeller becomes like his foul shots -automatic
