As a C's fan you have to know that's a really big question that hasn't been answered.  The process takes time and guarding LBJ is not something you plan for on day 1. 

Playing Cleveland sucks, no way around it.  Just feels like this whole season is setup just to lose to Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.ING CLEVELAND.

Also, there's no chance we ever win the 1st quarter in a game  against Cleveland home or away...and how many Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.ing times have we heard Brad say "we got off to a slow start"

The same way any team guards him... you can't. When people say LBJ scored 30pts but was defended well, that should tell you all you need to know.

Golden State is the only team in NBA that is well-equipped to defend LeBron.  The rotation of Barnes, Iguodala, and Thompson is about as good as you can get, and simply having 3 defenders capable of guarding him on one team is a major luxury.  Yet LeBron still put up monster numbers in the finals, albiet inefficiently.

The Spurs have Leonard, but no great option thereafter.  The Pacers have George, but he can't shoulder the entire load since they need him on offense.  Same with Jimmy Butler on the Bulls.

It's a major problem for pretty much every team currently battling for a playoff spot.  I don't expect anyone on the C's to contain LeBron, nor do I expect the C's as currently constructed to beat the Cavs.  Not a primary concern of mine at the moment.

Crowder has given LeBron trouble before. He did a decent job guarding him in the playoffs last year. you can't really guard a player like LeBron, but you can annoy the hell out of him like Jae did. And it worked. We were still competitive in all 4 games despite being swept.

Pretty much no one can guard Lebron currently except Kawhii Leonard

But crowder can definitely make it difficult for Lebron
Like green and Iggy did

I have a feeling that Smart is capable of guarding Lebron. We play them on friday, hopefully we see Smart matched up with Lebron in spurts. Lebron isnt much of a good shooter, so the height difference between them shouldnt matter too much.

Tough job at any time but an effective tactic in the past has been to keep putting a fresh player on him, rotating as often as possible. I know this causes disruption and you need a number of players capable of causing him problems. The other important point is that you are tight on the other Cavs, the better you are on them the fewer opportunities LBJ gets. Again, not an easy job, it is not like the other Cavs are mugs.

Not sure what the motivation for this thread is. Lebron is a great player, and he'll do his thing against us. But Jae Crowder is about as good an option to guard him as anyone, except Kawhi Leonard. Did you watch the way he was bothering Melo yesterday? He's really good at getting in your face and forcing tough shots.

Our team held a similar athlete and scorer to 25% shooting yesterday.

We have the individuals who can do it, but our team has to be really well connected in order to stop Lebron.

Lebron is a far better player that Carmelo.  Much more difficult to guard

Cs do a lot of off the ball switching on the perimeter. Wonder if we see any of that if Lebron is off the ball.
