The magic announcer said last night you have to watch it when you drive into the lane because there will be hands everywhere.   Celtics are one of the best team in stripping/stealing the ball. But in addition one of the top teams in rackings up the fouls

Coincidence??

Looks like its simple,  do not let a guy get an easy layup.  No easy dunk.   If Jae Crowder has 2 early then another guy meets Crowders guy to the basket and fouls him instead.

alot of **** KO stop fouling too much. But this season he is not fouling due to inexperience/weak body.  some calls are bad but alot of times he is doing it out of necessity.

Do not let the other team get anything easy, strip the ball, foul if you have to. But do it smart way.  We have the depth to afford the fouls.

More times than not---the refs let the other team play more physical than they do the Celtics...And I'm not just looking through green glasses....it's quite obvious.....I don't know if it's just the opposing coaches warning the refs about the Celtics defense or not.

Also, in last night's game---several times, the refs Blew the whistle--The Orlando players Screamed at the refs--and they CHANGED the call....What the heck---?

Makes perfect sense in theory, with the depth and personal the C's have to over play and try to steel the ball as much as possible, but on the other hand too many fouls kill the game pace, which is not beneficial to the Celtics.

Good point here.

I just think we want to play defense that way and not foul but do foul.  Hopefully the defense is enough and the benefits of all these turnovers.  I am very impressed with our team in this area.  That Marcus Smart steal last night where he just snatched the ball was a perfect example of that working this season.
