Ran across this article which is fairly recent. (didn't see it posted here)

http://www.inquisitr.com/2750158/nba-trade-rumors-david-lee-demanding-boston-celtics-move-him/

Thought the possible trades were interesting.
Any thoughts on Blake Griffin even though he won't be able to play until March some time?

yeah we've known Lee wanted out for a while.  He's on a contract year and can still probably average 17 and 7 with enough minutes.   We will either trade him or buy him out.

I still like Lee for Hibbert. High reward low risk move that doesn't effect us financially and fills a position of need. If Hibbert flourishes and surprises in 20 minutes a game great, if not, just bench him like Lee and it won't have much of an effect.

From your article:
The Miami Heat have been currently going through a slump and desperately need something to break them out of it. They could possibly send Luol Deng, who would replaced in the starting lineup by rookie Justice Winslow, and serviceable veteran big man Josh McRoberts to the Boston Celtics in exchange for David Lee, whose skills set matches up well with Chris Bosh.

I have always love McRoberts' game.  If we used him like he was used in Charlotte, he can be an elite passing big!!!  I don't know if he has anything left physically, but he is only 28.  Deng is NOT the defender he once was!!!  He was the 33rd best defensive SF last year and he is currently the 39th best defensive SF.

I don't know IF I do this, but what are your thoughts?

I would include ZERO picks as we would be on the books for 2 more years after this one with McRoberts!!!!

Why would we help Miami who well be fighting for playoff position. McRoberts is cooked.

How exactly does this help out Miami this year???  David stinking Lee???  Come on, really???

It does help them out in the future, but our future is much brighter than theirs, so I don't care.  I am NOT worried about the Heat in a year or two or three!!!  Wade and Bosh will soon be retired and Riley will be as well.

If you're giving Lee enough minutes to average 17/7 a game, you're going to be a terrible team.

I'm not sure how a 2 for 1 works for us. Someone else from us would have to be included in the trade or cut.

Neither option appeals to me for those 2 guys.

Does the 7 mean 7 Missed easy layups...or 7 Turnovers--?

He probably does want to get traded, but I'm tired of these glorified blog posts being passed off as actual news stories.

There's nothing in that "article" that is anything other than an opinion piece.

DKC Seventy-Sixers:

I fully expect David Lee to be traded at the deadline.  Either this guy is an insanely upstanding veteran, which in that case I have to give him all the credit in the world for being, or Ainge has specifically told him "unfortunately it just didn't work out for you here like I think we all thought it would, but don't worry, I promise to get you out of here by the trade deadline so you can start getting more minutes"

Cause I mean, this guy is officially out of the rotation and isn't even playing in blowouts now.  Yet he's still supportive on the bench and not causing any locker room issues, which is great to see.  The guy's not done, albeit he has missed ALOT of layups this season, he can still play in this league.  Just won't be here.

I think the C's end up cutting him after the deadline if they can't move him.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

If you're giving Lee enough minutes to average 17/7 a game, you're going to be a terrible team.

If you're playing Lee for 13-15 useful minutes a game in consecutive games, you're the Warriors seven months ago winning the Finals. Strange how a player can go from being a +17 in 13 minutes of an NBA Finals Game 3 decided by 5 points...to being totally useless three months later. Not impossible that that alone could still be a little valuable to a GM or two in the league.
