There are rumors that the Celtics "could be" interested in trading for Danillo.  He's definitely a nice player.  He averages almost 20 points a game and shoots well from the 3 pt line (37%.  His 4.6 offensive win share would beat even IT (4.4) and his overall WS of 5.1 would be second on the team tied with Jae and behind only IT (6.1).

The question is:  where does he fit.  While we definitely need offensive production, he's really a small forward and there's no point in putting him ahead of Jae.  Does he start at the 4?  Does he play at the 3 and Jae defends the other team's 2?  Do you make him into a 6th man, where he backs up a few positions and gets 30 minutes off the bench?

The other big problem is that he's already on a rich contract -- $15m and has a player's option after this year so he might be looking to cash in even more.

I'd trade him for salary filler and a few non-Nets first round picks:  say David Lee and the C's and Mav's pick for this yea and the C's pick next yearr?  Maybe throw in Rozier.  But, even then, I'd only do that if we could trade a few other people to break up the log jam.

I still think Gordon Hayward is the better fit.  I'd be pumped to trade  Avery, Jonas, Rozier, and 3 non-Nets first round picks for him.  Not that I think the Jazz would take that.

He's a swing and a wing.
Supplants sully in starting lineup but does not necessarily guard the 4.
That's the beauty of having crowder in the line up. Like Draymond Green he can legitimately guard 5 positions.

If you can add Gallinari without giving up any of the offensive weapons they now have (this means Bradley stays) you'd have a pretty intriguing team.  I assume Denver is in rebuild mode so you start with your rookies.  Does Mickey, Rozier & one of the lower 1st round picks do it?

Where would he fit? Clips could use a rangy 3/4. Zach Lowe wrote at length about Blake Griffin and the Clips earlier today.

Apologies in advance for any kind of thread derailment re: Griffin to BOS scenarios that may result.

Starter vs bench doesn't matter.  He would play thirty minutes per game, taking them away from Turner and Jerebko.

I agree with getting Danilo and flipping him to either the Clippers or Cleveland for Love or Griffin. Both teams could use his skills.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I think that's right. I like Jerebko alright, but he would not play any more (hopefully he goes to Denver in the deal).

Gallo could absolutely start at the 4, and I think he likely would. That said, our starting 5 has been extremely fluid based on matchups, health, and whatever else. That would surely continue to be the case and Gallo would likely come off the bench as often as not. The only guys that are locks to start every game are Bradley and Crowder.

I think it costs you more then that. I would say Lee Rozier (Young or Hunter) 2 protected firsts (non BKN). That puts you in the ball park. Might still be a little low.

Anywhere but Boston...we don't need him in Boston....already have KO .....

He is older and not needed at all.

If he was any count nuggets would be sure to hold on to him.

KO ..is the more valuable player ..hands down.

Galo is much better player then KO. I like Kelly but Danillo is a much more dynamic offense player then Kelly at this point in there careers. Gallo is only 3 years older so I wouldn't put too much into age.

He won't ..already have KO .....
