A scoring wing player and a quality big (doesn't matter if a true C or PF, just needs to be of higher quality).

Missionary and reverse cowgirl.

Reverse Cowgirl is a college standout, Scoring Champion, and 10-time all-star. Tough to upgrade that..

We need upgrades pretty much from every position except point guard. But if I could only pick 2, I'd take upgrades at the 5 and the 4, in that order. Or 5 and 3. This is assuming we get these upgrades without giving up any of our current top players (say, through free agency or the draft).

Obviously it would be great to draft Simmons but I'm not holding my breath for that to happen.

I think of this a bit differently. I think we want to upgrade every position.

Every player is available for the "right" trade, but all of our guys are also upgrading themselves.

I mean, would you trade Bradley for a better 2-guard? Maybe. But he is also the best ball-hawk in the NBA. He hits big shots, and he is finally attacking the rim more to become a more well-rounded player. He is not done developing. I'm not sure he will ever be a great passer or ball-handler, but he is still rounding out his game.

What about Crowder? Sully? Olynyk? Smart? These guys haven't maxed out either.
I think Thomas could become an even more efficient shooter in another year in CBS system and with another scorer to play off of.

Turner, Johnson, Lee, Jerebko, and Zeller are maxed out as players (in my opinion).

The players you mentioned that aren't "maxed out" are mostly the younger ones. You could say that about almost all younger players. Besides, that is the reason the first list has a lot more value than the second list. the players on the second list aren't going to get us anything good in a deal. You have to deal something to get something.

The only starting position I'd like to upgrade is C...  We need an athletic, rim protector that can hit free throws.

Off the bench we need some serious fire power. A JJ Redick clone would be nice. Our system doesn't need a star,  if you check the stats we take the most open shots in the nba, unfortunately we also miss the most. A knockdown shooter is definitely a need at any position

We just need a younger bigger version of Amir, like Boogie but without the attitude. And done.

In a vacuum, I'd upgrade PF + C. However I would take a star at SG and SF too in a second and then sort out the rest later

C

We have one that can rebound but can't shoot a lick.

One word. Simmons

We are nice everywhere else

Ingram is a nice looking player but he won't fit under CBS system

You need a durable workhorse .

a 6'9.5" small forward with a 7'3" wingspan, can shoot the three, can drive, can hit jumpshots and can defend with length.

This guy is the second coming of Grant Hill and will fit anywhere.

That is a ridiculous thing to say.

Back to the OP, we need to upgrade PF and C.

All of 'em. 5,3,2 especially. Cs need a scorer.

Someone else had 2 and 5. Are we really more set with KO/Sully/Mickey over AB/Smart/Hunter? I'm not worried about positions 1-3 AT ALL.

Only way I'm drafting someone under 6'6 in the draft is if we drop so low it is BPA.

We need a scoring pf and/or C (Hortford, Millsap, Love, Cousins), who can also play defense.
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

Evan Turner is easily the worst regular rotation player, so my goal is to find an upgrade on him.
