That career-long minute restriction talk have me wary

I was thinking the same thing, and for me that makes it an unrealistic target.   Beal is damaged goods.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Beal's one of those guys that has all the potential and talent, but not quite the right attitude. Combine this with his injury history and he's a very risky player to give a lot of money too.

I read recently that he'll have to be on minutes restrictions for the rest of his career.

I wouldn't give up much for him considering we have a pretty solid back court already.

Certainly wouldn't give up the Nets pick lol.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Not sure why we'd be trying to get Beal. Depth?

Rozier and D Lee? The money doesn't match up at all. Rozier and T Zeller.

We just so don't need this guy.

I'd want to flip him

It's really not much different than OKC trading off Harden. He simply was too costly and not a good organizational fit. Beal would be very similar if Washington thought they had a good shot at Durant.

I agree with what you're saying, but if you're trying to justify why a team should trade a star player, comparing it to one of the worst trades in NBA history is probably not the way to go  :D.

I was unaware of the career long minutes restriction talk, that gives me pause now as well.

As far as his attitude, I've never heard of him having attitude problems, actually I've heard the opposite.  Do you have any examples of him having a bad attitude or being difficult or are you just blowing smoke up everyone's .....you know what...
