I'm from the DC area, and theres been a bunch of discussion on the radio that past few days about Bradley Beals problems staying healthy, his upcoming restricted free agency, and the possibility of trading him.  A lot of people have been saying they'd be ok exploring a trade for him and that they dont want to have to pay him big money

I dont really like posting trade proposals but a player like Beal interests me.  Hes proven he can be a factor in the league and hes at a point where we almost might be able to buy low on him, if the Wizards would rather look into getting something in return for him instead of having to face the decision of paying him a max deal.

Yes, I do know he has had a lot of problems staying healthy, but we're nearing the point where we need to start thinking about maybe taking a risk or two.  Beals a real nice player when healthy and a legit starting SG.

I wouldnt be comfortable giving up the Brooklyn pick this year before knowing where its gonna land.  But if it landed outside of the top 5, I would give it some thought.  They also have had a lot of problems with spacing their big men out(Nene and Gortat), so they could also be interested in KO or even Sully.

What would you be willing to give up for Beal if he were available?

If we could somehow be able to secure Love in a trade, and get Bradley Beal, I wouldn't tossing the Nets pick for him. This might be the only way Wizards could consider literally giving up their 2nd best player.

I'm not so concerned with the foot issues Beal has, as long as he can remain and stay healthy. A minute restriction? Pfft, who cares? Stevens rarely plays his player over 36 minutes, and our depth is what is our bread and butter. Bradley Beal is a bonafide superstar in the sense that in a few years, I could see him being the top 5 SG, (which he is technically,) for years to come.

Do you think Wizards would be interested in a IT/Sully/Hunter, 2-3 picks swap?

I wouldn't give up a Nets pick for him.  due to his health issues and impending contract renewal, I'd be hardpressed to give up AB for him.  When he's healthy, Beal's the better player IMO but what good does that do when he misses 1/3 to 1/2 the games in the season and postseason.

I would think about Bradley + Olynyk for Beal.

A Bradley + something type offer for Beal. No way would I give up the Brooklyn pick for Beal.

Think IT+Bradley and KO with a mid first, two second rounders could help them get a jumpstart and life without Beal.

I don't think this gives them the optimal chance of securing Durant in FA, but honestly I don't think Durant is coming back to DC. The Wizards literally failed every expectations, and haven't ever been the same team that once had the punchers chance of bringing in KD.

Not much for a player I would bring off the bench behind Bradley.

same, I rather keep the guard rotation that we have. If I were to trade for anyone, it'd be for a small forward or a center

And then for someone to say add in KO?  No way!

You're welcome.

Beal is a more consistent player than Bradley, and has proven he can be dominant in the playoffs.

On the first part, yes. I'll get back to that.

On the second part, no. Beal didn't "dominate" in the playoffs. If anything he hurt his team by becoming a volume shooter in the series against Atlanta. Let's get a few more playoff series underneath his belt before anointing him a great playoff gamer.

Ok, back to the first part. Beal is a much better player than Bradley. He's younger, a better shooter, better passer, better rebounder where as Bradley is a better defender. Offensively he's far more dynamic whereas Bradley is more of a system player. He's also 22 and has the potential to improve while Bradley is what he is. There is no doubt Beal would be an upgrade. As far as his health goes, here are his games played his first 3 years versus Avery's first years as a starter (years 2-4): 56, 73, 63 (Beal) vs 64, 50, 60 (Bradley). Whether that trend continues or he ends up being more like Bradley (77 last year and 42 out of 47 this year) is anyone's guess.

If the Cs can come to some sort of long term arrangement I think Beal would be a very welcome addition. Frankly, a swap where the Cs acquire Beal for Bradley + mid 1st + 2 mid 2nd rounders is probably a good deal for both teams. There's no way you'd give up the Brooklyn pick and I probably wouldn't give up multiple firsts due to the contract differential but there's a deal to be made here. Washington would get a long-term defensive oriented replacement for Beal (who would work well alongside Wall) and a chance at more talent in the draft. The Cs get an upgrade - a go-to scorer who can help close out games - and they lose picks they really don't have space to use anyway.
Jaylen Brown will be an All Star in the next 5 years.

It's really not even worth arguing. Anyone who thinks Bradley is a better player than Beal (injury risks aside) is undeniably a homer.

I think Beals a much better player than Bradley.  Hes also a legit sized SG at 6'5" for everyones thats sick of the tweeners.  Only thing Bradley has is defense over Beal.  Beal shoots better, scores more, rebounds more, hes more consistant and isnt a bad defender.....hes just not on Bradleys level defensively.

That being said, I think the Wizards would definitely be interested in Bradley bc of the team friendly deal and the sweetner of throwing in a mid first round pick.

......and for those scoffing at Beal, Otto Porter would look pretty good on this team too!

Last year yes .

The gap is not as wide offensively .....Beal is always injuried or sick .....while AB shot is getting better all the time .  Beal is better finisher and handler ......but AB is closing the gap.

But ABs lock down mode D destroys Beal.

Right now I'll stay with Bradley .   While he is on his current contract.

If Beal is a "much" better player than Bradley, why would Washington be so open to trading him?
