Pretty simple question: do you think IT is voted in by the coaches as an All-Star tomorrow? I say yes, and I think it will be a pretty major snub if he doesn't get it, especially considering our place in the standings right now.

You hit the nail on the head. His performance and our place in the standings should pretty much do it. I'll be shocked if he isn't

Part of me wants him to be snubbed b/c he's the type to go CRAZY on teams when he feels slighted. I mean, it will be hard to get any better but he is just the guy to do it just to prove that he is as good as the best.

The other part of me wants him to make it b/c he deserves it and I'm tired of them not giving him his due!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Absolutely. His numbers are terrific this year and were over .500.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism

Yeah, threads come up every now and then comparing him to more obvious all-stars and many just shrug it off with an eye roll. At least if he makes the all-star game, he will officially be an all-star.

How's that 6th man award treating you this year, Lou [Williams]?

I'm pretty sure he will make it, but it's tough competition with Reggie.  We'll see, but I'm confident

IT's on the better team with pretty much better stats across the board, so it shouldn't be a competition.

I think Irving getting booted out of the starting line-up kind of sealed the deal for IT4.

Would have been a travesty for Irving to get in... fan voting is the worst, at least Raptors fans went full force to get Lowry in... we can thank them if IT gets in

I'll admit it: I voted for Lowry a lot in that last week. He's deserving, his team is great, and Isaiah is so much more deserving than Kyrie.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

I always thought that way too about fan voting.  Now I am resigned to just understanding it's a game for the fans and ignore it for historical purposes.  Thankfully the fans don't vote for the All NBA teams.  Still very happy to see Lowry get in over Irving though.

It's close but my gut says yes - votes were in before some of these wins but IT had enough big games against prominent teams that I think he'll squeak in.

Barring that he'd be a major candidate for an injury replacement.  We'd be the best team in the East, maybe the league with no All-Stars and commishes tend it favor that, second only to name players nearing retirement.
