The rebuild so far has been amazingly fast.   If you asked this blog 2.5 years ago today if they thought we'd be looking at a 2nd stright playoff apearance and a team with a boatload of assets and soon-to-be cap space, we'd all have taken it gladly.

you're only as young as you want to be. just an excuse for mediocre basketball. good teams are built with a mix of age groups. we've been too young to0 long. get some veterans that know how to win. see kg and pp. where are those guys.

in all honestly, you are seemingly digging yourself into a deeper hole with each post. "too young too long" is a hard point to make when the celtics only dumped their aging vets (pierce and KG) 3 years ago. THAT was when the rebuild began, not 9 years ago.

my suggestion is maybe revisit the premise of your thread, rethink and rewrite it. a stronger thesis would bring out a lot better responses i think.

Im tired too. DA is doing a great job with Stevens probably doing better, but some luck would help a ton because we need a PP type guy and then some.....in order to be the favorites

I think he meant to say:
"TIRED OF NOT BEING THE FAVORITES TO WIN THE TITLE". I am.
you'd have to go back to 1986 for that.

we weren't considered the favorites in the preseason in 2008.  Iirc, it was the Lakers who were the prediction darlings

If you're tired now, I suggest you find another hobby for a while, because this process is probably going to last at least a few more years.

31 months since the Pierce trade. What a disaster that turned out to be. Just trade all the picks back to Minny and the Clips and let's get to the ECF again already, sheesh..

My father told me that there are three types of people, those who are good at Maths, and those who aren't.

Retrospectively, DA has managed the rebuild well. I worried about some decisions when they were made, but they have nearly all been positive. We could argue all day about some of the draft picks but that is the nature of the draft and we don't always know what other negotiations are going on.

I get eager for DA to make that big addition or two that will lift this team (a team I enjoy watching) to the next level. I know that the call for patience makes sense though. DA has the sense to make the right move when it is available. Moves have been close and he has been willing to try things, with free agents and draft picks. His efforts will bring off a deal or two before the rebuild gets to 9 years. I believe it is probably going to happen at the end of this season, though he could surprise us.

8 years of rebuilding is getting real old. that is long enough to rebuild from the top down.      danny do something this year or you and brad can do the fans a favor and make it your last. see blatt.

Sometimes, too much instant gratification, actually holds little gratification.

Watch the games, get involved with the process.

I think Wyc should have let Danny get started two years earlier--then he could potentially have reloaded while he still had real assets.
