What if Fuzzy wuzzy was not a bear?

What if a one legged duck did not swim in a circle?

What if water were not wet?

What if Ainge were really a Yankees fan?

And, if the Queen had balls, she'd be the king.  (NO, not that Cavs guy!!)
The entire premise seems to be about Durant being repped by Roc Nation and that agency's ties to Brooklyn. That and the massive market and 1 billion dollar arena.  Players are always going to be tied to New York and Los Angeles.

The roc nation stuff would seem more ridiculous if we hadn't just sifted through hundreds of articles about how Lebron and his agency are able to influence every move happening in Cleveland down to which players get 100 million dollar contracts and which coaches are able to stick around.

Probably nothing to it, but it wasn't long ago that Brooklyn and Lebron seemed like a distinct possibility.  My only interest in that article was in relation to the picks they owe us... I hope Brooklyn keeps sucking but you can't rule out them improving.  Luckily that pick they owe us this year looks pretty awesome right now.

If the conversation is stupid...well...*ahem*...you started the thread. I doubt we'd have this sad level of discourse if the thread premise was a bit more interesting and realistic.

Because seriously: Why on earth would a superstar such as Durant be willing to leave Russell Westbrook, a franchise on pace for 60 wins and more money for a franchise without a coach, a GM or total control over its first-round pick until 2019 that is on pace for 20 wins?

Well, that about says it. Wait, the question wasn't rhetorical?

Quote
Well, let's start here: Durant is represented by Roc Nation Sports and Jay Z. And which team did the hip-hop mogul turned power agent formerly hold a minority ownership stake in? The Nets. Now, let's add this: The president/chief of branding and strategy of Roc Nation is Michael Yormark. Who is his twin brother? CEO of Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment Brett Yormark.

I'm reminded of that scene where Cartman accuses Kyle of planning 9/11 (and going dookie in the urinal)

Quote
Other potential enticing factors could include... the opportunity to potentially play with more of a pass-first type of point guard, whom the Nets would have to acquire via free agency or trade.

So to sum up: Durant will go to Bkn because Jay Z used to own a stake in the Nets, and his agency's branding guy's brother is CEO of some Bkn company, and he would get to play with a pass first point guard... which the Nets don't even have.

I do say there is more logic in Durrant being a Celtic than a NET .

I guess Durrant and Love might make an impact .

Nets have nothing to give anybody but Lopez.

The Russian is impatient .....tries to take short cut to titles......he 'll dump a ton of money on guys like Wallace and Johnson trying to build a team .   I doubt he'll ever learn to stay out of the GM business and hire somebody wh know what he is doing.

It's becoming a lost art though.

Cribbage is great.  I haven't played in years.  Played a lot in college.  About 10 years ago I taught my daughter and we played for a few years -- then we stopped.   But... one of the best card games.

jay z isn't a part owner of bkn anymore. i mean he is still a fan but his job is to put his client in the best place to succeed and make money, he can make money in bkn but will not be in a better place with talent if he leaves OKC or doesn't try a team like Was or better who can all pay the same.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

this is a best case scenario for them
and at best they make the playoffs around 5-7 seed

but durant wouldnt go to brooklyn because of their clear terrible chances at winning in the near future

Do I see them getting Durant? Absolutely not.

Do I see them offering the max or near-max to players like Eric Gordon, Harrison Barnes, Kent Bazemore, Jordan Clarkson, Dion Waiters, or Evan Fournier? Yes.

I don't think they become contenders with moves like that, but I can definitely see Russian Money buying mediocrity.

2016 will probably be our best Nets pick, and that's ok. Even if we get one top 5 pick from that deal, we still got a steal.

Yes, Kevin Durant is totally going to leave a championship contender and go to one of the three worst teams in the league. That makes TONS of sense.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.
