rj still shooting poor percentage

Surprised this wasn't a thread to correlate some of the injuries RJ has suffered in the past month with his poor shooting.

Not worried .  I'd be shocked if he doesn't succeed in the NBA .   He is too smart .

Reddick took a pretty good while to get consistent in the NBA or anywhere near his college game .

Rj got more,playing time than I thought he would. So,early first year.

Smart needs to be on the court 30 minutes a game honing his skills and ET off the team to make room for RJ

Look at the difference in Danny's role and shooting % before his first and second years in the league, at about RJ's age.

He'll be fine.

Shot poorly last game (3-12/1-6 from 3), but had 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, 1 turnover.

I'll admit to being mildly concerned -- poor shooting percentages in final season at college, in summer league, in regular season and in D League.

Still, I like the look of his stroke and he's got an all-around game. Would like to see what he can do when his minutes aren't so sporadic.

We honestly don't know for sure if he can be the consistent outside threat we need ... but we know that Evan Turner can't be. It's time that Hunter gets some of those minutes. He would be a much better complement for Marcus Smart.

I like RJ now after watching him play. But before the draft:

"Everything I read about Hunter is like 'he doesn't shoot well, but he's a really good shooter, trust me.'"

During his senior year, during summer league, and in the D-League he's played with fringe NBA players (HUGE compliment lumping his college teammates in there by accident). As his game develops (it's been only half an NBA season after all) he'll likely be surrounded by higher quality players, thus less attention will be paid to him hopefully allowing him to shoot.

He was the sole focus of the offense at Georgia State. In fact, I believe his usage rate went up every single year. Therefore you HAVE TO expect him to tally some misses. What else do we expect, him not to shoot whenever he had half an inch in college? Basically what I'm saying is, don't worry. At all.

He'll be fine. Steph wasn't exactly an MVP player when he first came into the league either. I feel as if Hunter is being critiqued like he was the first overall pick.
