Wow.

Another Woj hatchet job on LeBron, but it sounds like it's probably deserved.

Good for blatt.   A good coach, and he is, can't really coach Lebron.  See Paul Silas.
In the end who cares

I am from greece and i did never understand the hiring of blatt.. he is supposed to be a good coach but not great... he is not at the obradovich ivkovic messina level... he is not the best at creating plays... i think if you have a good manager everything can be done. But... being born in us does not mean that you are familiar with us basketball..big mistake to start his career in a top nba team with so many egos

Deserved to be fired. Blatt failed to make that group of individuals a team. They do not play together as a unit. Just as individuals. Especially LeBron and Kyrie.

You nailed it .

Couldn't be a worse watch than Cavs in the NBA , except maybe Rockets .......Cavs the WORST at team basketball in the league .

LeBron is the most responsible .  Him bringing the ball up,court ...while two little short guys stand around ....like idiots and watch .

Basically ......Blatt really did not have control of the team .......NO coach who understands basketball would ...organinize the team in such a screwball manor .

Blatt either didn't have the nads or was told not to,interfere with the VETS running the team

Blatt let him self be pushed around by the older players and let them blame him for their sorry attitude .

The load of thugs on that team are just looking for a little punk yes man like Spobott in Miami they can push around and dominate ......pass,the blame onto the coach with out fear.

I think he was hired before Lebron decided to come back to Cleveland, and therefore probably thought he would be coaching a rebuilding team.

I'm not so sure it is deserved.  The reality is once James came back Blatt never should have been coach.  He just didn't understand the American game and that was very apparent.  Now maybe James could have helped him more, but if you don't have or earn the respect of your best player, then you won't get it with anyone.  Blatt never understood that and never gained James' respect or trust.

ESPN had an article last night with 5 of their NBA writers, all 5 said it was the right move from the Cavs.  That is powerful.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

Lots of goodies in this article, but what I found most interesting is that Blatt seemed to flat out fear Lebron. In this article and others, it is mentioned that he would consistently not criticize Lebron during film sessions, and he would even call all kinds of fouls in Lebron's favor during practices. That' pretty much a no-win scenario right there.

Also, all of this seems to make you respect Riley and Spoelstra a little more, because it seems that they at least didn't let Lebron rule things completely.

Here's another interesting article with Stan Van Gundy ripping the Blatt firing. He's saying essentially that "meeting expectations" must somehow go beyond wins in Cleveland.

ESPN'S writers agreeing on something is powerful?

Classic case of trying to please all and pleasing no one.   LeBron needs a follower for a coach so he can tell them what to do like Spoelstra.

I think it has become increasingly apparent to LeBron that he has little to no hope of beating the Warriors. And it made him do something drastic.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.
