You might be right... maybe they can't get all three to work together... but I still think that this delays a potential Love trade.  Blatt's the scapegoat.  They will try to make this work first.

This is exactly it.  Love has not been a great fit in Cleveland.  He hasn't been a disaster either, but it looks more and more like Cleveland gave up a legitimate serial future All-Star in Wiggins to get Love.  Cleveland has to make this work.

It's too close to the deadline now to make any assessment if Lue can fix this.  If Love does get traded, it will be in the offseason.

Unless someone knocks the Cavs socks off by offering a 1st round pick that can make up for the Wiggins trade..........

The only reason Love is even on the team is because Lolbron wanted him on it. Everyone knew what Love's shortcomings were before they traded for him. Conform to the way Lolbron wants to play or else your next. Nothing will change other than Lolbron got someone to coach the team he liked better.

Blatt never had a chance the day Lolbron wanted to go back to Cleveland. Never seen a organization so controlled by one player.

I don't see why it would matter if Lebron was consulted or not.

The problems with the team are pretty clear. Ray Allen and Chris Bosh were both marginalized greatly on teams with HOF teammates, but no one though that either wasn't a major contributor to the team. Sure, Doc sometimes says that he failed to fully integrate Ray Allen, but the general perception was that Allen was well fit to the role he ended up playing, whether or not he was being underutilized.

If everyone feels that Love isn't getting used well, either the coach is just no creative or the players are just incompatible. Now they can try a new coach before deciding if they need to trade Love.

Cleveland has fired coach David Blatt, sources tell Yahoo.

Blatt is just the fall man. He isn't perfect but Bron hamstrung him and the team. I genuinely feel bad for Blatt.

He was brought in to coach a rebuilding team. They should have let him go when LeBron wanted in again.

How surprised were Cavs players today? When team meeting was called, some players speculated Kevin Love had been traded

Wow.  That says a lot.  Guys on the team know it isn't working between LeBron and Love.

Ty Lue's the new coach.

LeBron finally decided to stage a coup.

Yyyyyyyyup.  Hope he gets what he deserves for it.  LeBron's a great player, but I've never seen much indication he'd be a good coach.  Or GM for that matter.

Jordan 2.0?

Both incredibly focused individuals with a huge blind spot for the bigger picture.

Yes.

Will not be surprised if Kevin Love gets moved by the deadline as well. The fit clearly isn't there and he's not doing enough defensively.

Deserved to be fired. Blatt failed to make that group of individuals a team. They do not play together as a unit. Just as individuals. Especially LeBron and Kyrie.

That's just as much on Lebron and Kyrie. It was like watching an And-1 mixtape during the playoffs last year, and that's mostly due to Kyrie's style I think. Lebron was never really like that before.

Sure seems like it.

They say Lebron  had no Knowledge of the Firing. I have some beach front property in Kansas too.

Good Lord. It really makes you appreciate our organization.

This is a mess, but everyone saw it coming when James was literally cursing out his coach late in the playoffs last year, physically picking him up and placing him aside to not get a T, etc.

Hilarious tweet about the Cleveland situation:

"Kevin Love tried to defend Blatt, but the firing came in the form of a pick and roll."
