Lowery has been voted in as an All Star starter. This probably will mean that Kyrie is going to not be voted in by the coaches and Wall and Thomas will get the bench nod.

Derozen should be ahead of him.

Played circles around him last night...

You forgot butler

I'm hoping its derozan butler and Isaiah
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Good to hear about Lowry.

But yeah, Derozan, Butler, and Wall are still in the running.  IT's been great, but I think the coaches would probably go with those guys first.

actually hoping Isaiah gets snubbed.  he needs a chin-check right now to re-charge his motivation for the stretch run.

I also would not be surprised if a player like wade that is banged up opts to sit out. There is usually an injury or two every year, so at this point would be kind of surprised if Isiah did not make it. Also while some disagree, I think a lot of people will think it is cool for Thomas to make the all star team at 5'8 and he won't be hurt by that fact.

Even if IT4 doesn't make it, I'm just glad that Kyrie isn't an all star this year.

In other news Zaza Pachulia got the most votes to start the ASG for a big and twice as many votes as Cousins.

Please Adam Silver, stop this madness.

Everyone on NBA on TNT had him as one. Good sign.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

Good to hear about Lowry.

But yeah, Derozan, Butler, and Wall are still in the running.  IT's been great, but I think the coaches would probably go with those guys first.

I have to agree that Lowry, Butler and Wall really should all be above IT.

Derozan and Thomas are (IMHO) 50/50 and could go either way.  They are both putting up similar scoring numbers but Derozan has the benefit being a better defensive player, while Thomas has the benefit of being a very good passer and a more complete scorer (thanks to Derozan's lack of a decent outside game).

Ultimately you could pick either guy, but you'd probably lean towards Derozan simply because the Raptors have been consistently one of the top 3 or 4 teams in the East all season long, and he's the second best player (you could probably argue best) on the Raptors.

On the other hand IT4 is keeping the Celtics consistently in the playoff race, despite the teams complete lack of star power, so he should probably get some credit for that too.

Pretty tough call.

I'd say Isaiah should probably make it either as a reserve, or as an Injury Replacement.

Still utterly disgusted that Cousins is not starting for the West.  I appreciate Draymond Green and he is an outstanding player, but he's had one good season in the league.  Anthony Davis and Demarcus Cousins have been the undisputed best big men in the NBA for something like three seasons running.

Hell Cousins is averaging 26.2/11.2/2.7/1.3/1.3 in 33 minutes - that's every bit as impressive a stat line as any big man of the past 30 years. He even has the forever doomed Sacramento Kings in the playoff race in the West.

I haven't got an issue with Green being an All-Star, he deserves it - but not over Cousins IMHO.

This is all the more reason why DMC should come to Boston - there is barely any competition in the big man spots over here in the East, and DMC should be an All-Star starter every year.

I haven't got an issue with Green being an All-Star, he deserves it - but not over Cousins IMHO.
I find it funny that ZaZa had more votes than both of them.

Green won't even be starting unless Kobe is out with an injury or something.  It'll be Durant versus LeBron at center.  Haha.

Great news about Lowry beating out Irving.

It's also encouraging that all the TNT guys have Isaiah making the all star team.  They actually have four reserve guards--Thomas, Derozan, Wall, and Butler--with only three bigs off the bench each.  Their biggest snub seems to be Reggie Jackson, who none of the TNT analysts picked.

Isaiah's chances are looking good.  I'd love to have an all star.  He deserves it.

While we are talking all stars, I'd love to see Kelly in the three point contest.
