I think some are missing the big picture of this trade Oubre would become our back up small forward and could take the start from Crowder in a year or two. KO is only sign through next year while Oubre is sign to a 4 year rookie deal. Seraphin is a filler basically in this trade for us an so is Vujacic, who doesn't even need to be in the trade for it to work. James Young yes is a piece that could be nice, but Oubre is just his rookie year has shown glimpses already off what he can become.
Yes, KO has been playing great as of late, but I don't know if I see his ceiling being higher then Oubre being a starting small forward for us. Someone who can also play the shooting guard as well and is a top defender.
These years draft also has a lot of talented bigs that could replace KO and not so much as talented true small forwards as Oubre is. Yes, there is a few small forwards but more talented bigs coming up.
