Brooklyn losses. I enjoy watching our players play their game, but there's less of a margin for error when it comes to the Nets' losing record. It might not matter too much if we are 3 games over 500 or 6 games over 500, we should still be in a similar place. I guess you could say that 8th seed is way worse than 7th seed, but honestly, I think we'll be looking at the 7th, 6th, or even 5th seed, and it doesn't really matter which one that is.
One extra win for the Nets, on the other hand, could mean the difference between 3rd best odds in the lottery and 4th best odds, and the lottery is so top heavy that could mean the difference between a franchise player and a quality starter, or a quality starter and a role player. The Nets need to lose every game for this season to be a success. The Celtics don't necessarily need to win every game for this season to be a success.
