I think Smarts development on the offensive end is directly tied to the number of cb threads about him where the exact same arguments are made.
How do you feel about websites where people with similar interests share their opinions?

Players don't play in stocking feet, they play in sneakers.

So players should be measured as they're playing.

Marcus with sneakers on, is probably closer to 6-4 than 6-2.
And thus, curry and smart should be the same height.  Unless you only want to give shoes to Marcus?

And Russell Westbrook is 0.25 inches taller than Smart. Are we also going to call him a "midget" PG?

Marcus Smart is listed at 6'4 in shoes, Steph Curry is listed at 6'3 in shoes.

The Celtics are stunting his growth by him getting injured?

I trust CBS to develop him properly.

It will start to click (and already has). Although he is shooting terribly from three this year, he is being much more decisive, which is a very important quality to have offensively.

He's 6'2" Triboy. Just extremely long at 6'9" plus wingspan, and built like a tank.

he is not 6'2. no way

Steph curry is like 6'2.  Smart is at least 6'3. Maybe 6'3.5

He'd be at least 6'4 if we'd stop stunting his growth.

TP.  This is hilarious

no, Smart's growth was greatly hindered by his injuries in his rookie year and sophomore year. Those ankle injuries in my honest opinion hurt him more than other factors. The fact that he was also inconsistent on the offensive end and bad plays at times prevented him from making the improvement we expect him to make for a #6 pick

Quite simply, what has stunted Smart's growth is that he shoots a basketball like it's a bag of rocks. A neutral observer, not a foaming-at-the-mouth green teamer, might reasonably suggest that Brown's career may follow a similar course. Hopefully it won't, but the the early signs are mixed at best.

If anything has stunted Smart, it's injuries and Turner. Turner is gone, and hopefully the injuries are, too. Can't wait to see what he does next season.

This is the correct answer.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Can anyone provide evidence (e.g. a few highlights) of Smart showing flashes of having a higher level of offensive production in him? Discussion would carry more weight if that exists, imo.

I'd genuinely love to see this. I personally haven't but hope it exists. I'll probably argue against evidence, but am open to it and hope someone shares.

The two months when he shot like 40% from deep on high volume, the playoffs when he got to the line a lot, and his increased ft% which indicates an improving shooting stroke and thus hope for him to become a goodish shooter.
