Got a better source?

Though there's really nothing to doubt with that.  Gasol is old.  Noah is obviously available.  Gibson is whatever.

I would've loved Noah on this team a few years ago.

He really seems to have been all used up by Thibs.

Exactly .    ......still tempting tho......you just gotta wonder if he is play n with hurt feeling .....less than he could......will he heal up and play close to his old stds.

Good fit if he has anything close to old skill left in the tank.......then again I was hopeful for Lee too.

I'd still take him. Above all else, he will atleast bring a sense of leadership in how he plays as he plays hard every time. That can be contagious. He may not be the Noah of old, but his mentality could affect the team in a very positive way.

Besides, this dude still manages to average 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block in 22 minutes per game. There's still some Joakim left in there to be desirable.

  • That's turrible
Noah may not be the same as he once was but he's still intense as hell on the court. I'd take him if it meant dumping one of Lee, Zeller, or Jerebko and our own first from this year.

Yep, I'd still be willing to trade Lee and a late 1st for him.

All the hand-wringing and kvetching about a lack of leadership, professionalism, and consistent effort on the roster would instantly end.

I might do the same deal for Gasol too.

I'd pass on all three but Chicago certainly should try & move all three.  There a team that needs to transition forward.  Their window for winning the east has closed.

A problem with Noah is... he's unhappy coming off the bench. He'd come off the bench for the Celtics (he's not better than any of the top 3 bigs we currently have), he's having a miserable season as it is.

Though playing less lately, in part because of injuries, he's played 20 minutes a game for the Bulls. Doubtful he plays that much with us as it is.

So I don't envision him being happy and instilling his leadership qualities to this team.

Why wouldn't Noah start at C for Boston? Seems any of Amir, Sully, or KO could start at PF next to him (although less likely Amir due to poor spacing).

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
I was always a huge Noah fan, but am skeptical in what he can offer moving forward. I don't understand why more people aren't pushing for a Gasol deal. He is having a fantastic year and his game isn't predicated on athleticism at all. He certainly seems to have a few good years left and he would come considerably cheaper than his brother.

I think it's the assumption that he'll sign wherever his brother does next season. More likely a half-season rental, whereas Noah might be more likely to re-sign.

The real question is, why would you start him over Amir or Sullinger?

Would be great to get Pau and have him sing Boston's praises to baby brother and get him to sign here.
