This poor Cat (see what I did there) is now #6 on the DraftExpress Top 100 Prospect List.

http://www.draftexpress.com/rankings/Top-100-Prospects/

He's raw, raw, and more raw.

Celtics should not touch that Cat with a 10-foot pole... :o

Draft Express had him over Simmons at one point back in the fall.

Chad Ford has him at 10 in the big board that came out today. Not much good was written.
He should be worth a look with our mid first rounder

Could he be the oubre or Turner of this year?

Seems like a nice candidate for a non nets pick if he falls a bit more

I still think that Skal is a much better fit in the NBA than in college. He might take a little while to develop but the potential is there.

I'd love to have him as long as it's not with the Net pick.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Skal could be kinda like Andre Drummond, who struggled in college but has been much, much better in the NBA.

On the other hand, he might just not be very good.

I don't get how bender is high based on potential alone. the guy is barely playing.
maybe he is that good, but who knows??

Because tall and European?

Speaking about tall and European, it seems that the way it is going, we may need to spend our Nets pick on Poeltl if we want him...

I dont think we want him, just a regular big if you ask me.

Finding a "regular big" who can play on both ends of the floor is not as easy as you seem to suggest. If he turns out a healthy version of Bogut or Kaman, that's a pretty good haul.

but 3rd pick for a guy that you can't really judge and measure his skills compare to others??

We're getting the third pick? There is more than a 50% chance to end up somewhere in the 4-6 range with the 3rd worst record... and the season isn't even over yet. It is not unreasonable that when it's all said and done, we'll be looking at a selection in the tail end of the top 8 yet again.

So Chris Kaman is a lottery pick talent? Regular bigs should be picked out of the lottery, they all do the same thing.

If Skal falls he could be a great trade up and take the gamble candidate for the Cs especially if they don't go big with the Nets pick. However I doubt they will have the fire power to make that jump. If the Cs own pick finishes 15-18 and dallas is 17-22 it will be hard to see the Cs getting up to the 9-12 range.
