I cant blame stevens.  He has a squad of role players and no starters.  Give him 3 legit starters and see what he can do.

For those of you think Smart was the most culpable for this loss (besides Stevens), he was -1 in 23 minutes, while Lee was -12 in just 15 minutes. Smart's offense was bad, but his otherworldly defense makes him a net neutral (at worst) even when his offense is at its worst.

SMART shouldn't be in this convo! CBS IS ABOUT TO GET PUNCHED!! WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY???? Literally stood there and switched other players when everyone (including Mike and Scal) thought the subs were for Lee. Scal was so shocked Lee wasn't subbed he was at a loss for words (I think he laughed).
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

OH my!  That woulda been awesome! :-\.  I'll never hate this team because they are all heart, but w e wont win a title with just heart alone sadly

I can't see any heart from the team in these recent losses.
Well, some players are all heart. Then again, some are all brick and yet some others are all I'm playing for is my next contract. Brad S seems patently unable to tell who's who though.

The last few games have almost got me on the tank train. Smart is going to improve offensively, but he'll never be a number one option scoring 22+ points a game. Stevens CLEARLY can't handle this roster crunch we have right now. Our defense is just outstanding, but we have to improve offensively somehow.

We really could use the talent. Adding two top ten picks (including one in the 3-5 range) would be HUGE.
please

So, are Jerebko and Zeller injured, or did Brad forgot how to coach? Also, why did we have a timeout to spare at the end of the game?

After Lee's first half, NO WAY YOU PLAY HIM 2nd half! NO WAY. Thennn you do and boom OVAH!! Not that he played him it's that he CONTINUED letting him play!! I WANNA SHOOT SOMEONE!!
That's at least the second game when Lee has tried to shoot himself into something more than a bit player for this team. In both cases it wasn't pretty... or efficient. Right now, Mickey was more useful than Lee, since at least he doesn't hurt the team actively.

The only thing consoling me other than a beer about this is the narrative I have concocted that this was Lee's last chance and that's why he was shooting so much and everything.  Now he's buried on the bench.

These kind of total implosions after getting up double digits have become one of the defining features of Stevens' coaching.

Mike
That's just not true.

The last two weeks have been brutal but last year and prior to this slump we lost like 1 lead of 10+ puts they showed a stat in a recent game

Honestly think Brad got intimidated by Lee's press conference. That's the only explanation I can find. This was pathetic. This game was 90% on him. But then I remember that we don't have any superstar and realize I shouldn't be that p---ed at him

Oh for me it's the belief that Stevens could only have played him that much as a showcase to get him out of here... I can't believe Stevens woulwould sanelyy him that long

Why not, haven't you watched the Celtics for the past couple of years?

You're forgetting last year when these kind of collapses happened all the time.

I only got to watch the first quarter, which was just about a perfect quarter in my opinion. I didn't watch the rest of the game. Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline. happened?
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

With the recent big 3 , given that they were all healthy he would have won championship(s) too.
I like Brad Stevens a lot.
