Stevens is a flawed coach right now.  Outstanding in some areas, in rotations he might be among the worst in the league.  Again I know he doesn't have an easy roster but I'm tired of the excuses and the continuing puzzling rotation choices.  To believe in them you have to think he sees something above what any other NBA coach has and that's just not the case.
When Crowder is your second best scorer, you are going to be in trouble no matter who is the coach.

Time for some reality. We are only as good as these guys are at executing Brad's system. Besides IT, we are just above average at every position.

Not Brad's fault with the hand he was dealt.

The last few games have almost got me on the tank train. Smart is going to improve offensively, but he'll never be a number one option scoring 22+ points a game. Stevens CLEARLY can't handle this roster crunch we have right now. Our defense is just outstanding, but we have to improve offensively somehow.

I miss Bass. Yeah, I did say that..
He's better than Lee, but I don't really miss him.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
So, are Jerebko and Zeller injured, or did Brad forgot how to coach? Also, why did we have a timeout to spare at the end of the game?

I guess I just don't quite understand. He evidently goes out of his way to tell Lee he is officially out of the rotation, but then features him in extended minutes tonight. And, even when he proves to be horrible, Steven still sticks with him.

I know people are lumping Lee and Turner together, but Lee is so much worse and so much more useless to our team than ET.

It's time for this year's version of the Jeff Green trade.

unfortunately we can't trade him and Rondo again. But we NEED a trade.

You hit the nail on the head with all of his flaws:

- JJ and Zeller just got DNP - Coach's Decision for no apparent reason;

- Lee played 15 minutes with the go-ahead offensively shooting 2-12, again for no apparent reason;

- We still had timeouts left because Stevens doesn't know how to call timeouts to stop runs.

Hell, at least he didn't play 12 guys tonight, though...

Turner is just a high variance guy. His good nights are great and his bad nights suck.

I have not seen a regular rotation player that fails both the eye test and the stat test as thoroughly as David Lee

That's funny you say that,I thought he was gonna score 30 a game next season. Thanks for enlightening me

For those of you think Smart was the most culpable for this loss (besides Stevens), he was -1 in 23 minutes, while Lee was -12 in just 15 minutes. Smart's offense was bad, but his otherworldly defense makes him a net neutral (at worst) even when his offense is at its worst.

After Lee's first half, NO WAY YOU PLAY HIM 2nd half! NO WAY. Thennn you do and boom OVAH!! Not that he played him it's that he CONTINUED letting him play!! I WANNA SHOOT SOMEONE!!
That's at least the second game when Lee has tried to shoot himself into something more than a bit player for this team. In both cases it wasn't pretty... or efficient. Right now, Mickey was more useful than Lee, since at least he doesn't hurt the team actively.

OH my!  That woulda been awesome! :-\.  I'll never hate this team because they are all heart, but w e wont win a title with just heart alone sadly

I can't see any heart from the team in these recent losses.

We really could use the talent. Adding two top ten picks, including one in the 3-5 range, would be HUGE.
