I have a feeling they'd try to dump Asik or Eric Gordon on us.  Not interested.

Let's do it.  Matching salary and a 1st.

If you don't plan to overpay for him to keep him for the long term then trade him

This isn't really a rumor, it's just one writer's trade proposal.

you just want to make the deal so there's one less player ahead of your binkie Mickey that's keeping him in Maine.

I like Sully but not sure what NO has at this point that we'd want other Davis that would be worth trading Sully for.

The trade he proposes is Sully and Jerebko and a 1st for Ryan Anderson and a 2nd. I'm on board with that, provided the picks are left out of the deal.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I'd honestly take filler/expiring contracts just to clear up the front-court log jam.

Yeah, as mentioned above... not a rumor. Just the Jeff Clark from New Orleans with a trade idea.

Sully and Jerebko for Ryan Anderson would be a great trade for the C's.

Anderson is a big time 3 point shooter.  Mickey could get some minutes with Sully gone.

Everyone wants truth on his side, not everyone wants to be on the side of truth.

To follow up; it's interesting that the fan-base sees it as a pretty even trade idea.

What does the "ME" option mean? It seems like a totally separate option from the other three. It's possible for a reader to think New Orleans or Boston likes the trade but also personally disagree with it.

There's also no "They both say no" option, or would that be too embarrassing for the author?

Pelicans like giving away first rounders. I would def trade sully for a future first 2017 unprotected. Add filler and w/e. then waive whoever we get from the pelicans.

Ryan Anderson would help the team with his shooting on offense, but his defense is too paltry to play him more than 24-25 minutes a night, so the problem of not having a consistent starting caliber player would persist.  Not really sure it's worth it.

If the Celts trade a big man, they should be looking to add wing depth, or trade multiple players for an upgrade in the starting lineup.  Probably not worthwhile otherwise.

I agree with this, but the C's could make this deal then still make another deal to add wing depth, or upgrade their starting lineup.

Plus like it or not, Sullinger is the only big we currently have that gives us a semblance of quality minutes at center.

So with this trade our biggest problem, defense from our bigs at the center position, would be even worse all for a half a season Anderson (expiring contract), so we miss out in whatever benefits a Sullinger restricted free-agent would give, and Anderson would also have a bigger cap hold than Sullinger for free-agency so limiting our options a bit more.

In all, don't really see the benefits. If we want more shooting, just play Olynyk more.
