Salaries don't match, this trade won't happen unless we add about $5.5 million more of salaries going to SacTo.

It's hard to buy a rumor like this. Literally anyone can make a trade up and claim they have sources close to the team... Wouldn't hate the deal though but I'm very skeptical

I'd be happy if this was true. With how the Nets are playing I'd be fine if we dealt the Brooklyn pick  for Cousins.

In regards to obtaining Cousins in this particular deal.

I have no concerns dealing Sully and Bradley. As for the three picks depends which. No more than one  of the Net picks.

So a potential lineup might go something like this.

Crowder
IT
Smart
Hmmmm? Seems Mickey would be an ideal fit.

Thoughts?

According to the Twitter user, they are apparently all three picks this year (and maybe a 4th) - just one Nets pick.

I hate to lose Bradley, but you have to give something to get something. And, yes, I am going to pretend this is legit and that a deal will happen at any time. I really want Cousins.

No player on this roster would be untouchable. Rather not give up Bradley, Smart, IT or Crowder, but...

Why does this twitter user have an ounce of credibility?  It's not hard to create a "rumor" based on plausible ideas.  Everyone knows Boston wants Cousins.   Everyone knows Cousins could be available at some point.    It's not hard to guess what the package might be.   Still, Jackie Mac said just a few days ago that the Kings are still very much against trading Cousins.

That doesn't mean that we can't discuss if the deal is fair/how it would effect the C's.

On the off chance this rumor is true and completed, can you imagine if the Nets win the first pick in the draft and Simmons goes on to become the next great star and wins multiple titles with the Kings Everyone would than say how stupid Danny was for agreeing to this in the first place.

I just don't se the Kings trading Cousins unless they know for sure there is a top pick in the draft. For them to agree for the chance of this, it would need to be a much higher price. Probably all the nets picks, ours and who knows what players. If they truly want to get rid of Cousins, they should wait until after the draft order is set and than figure out who to rape over the coals. A first or a second is a must plus a lot more.

On a more serious note, Cousins would be awesome on the Celtics and would make us a much more attractive place for another huge superstar to sign with us and we would be well on our way to disrupting Lebron's dreams of a title with the Cavaliers. I would probably lean towards making this trade though since I am confident that this trade would trigger the next star to sign with us in the offseason. I just don't believe we have a chance to get him unless we have a top 2 pick in the draft.
