Any word on the Jack injury? That could go a long ways toward helping the Brooklyn pick.

Brad has been doing that the whole year. I think it's silly to think this team is greater than it is. They are not a consistent basketball team because they don't have consistent players. If they did, they would be a contender...Celtics fans need to get used to this until either one of the players on the roster makes a leap, or they obtain a superstar.

That's an insult to IT to say Joe Johnson is better. He isn't. In fact though they play two separate positions I'd take IT over Young. Nets do have the best player in Lopez though

Lopez, Young, Jack versus Thomas, Bradley, Crowder

Size wins it for me. Lopez is a really good player so long as he's healthy.

we were 5points down to begin with. After the second steal, Crowder got the ball, passed to IT, IT passed to the left corner to Jerebko who missed the open 3.

Did we have a timeout and not use it again?

I don't know if we had one but I would be p---ed if we did, it hasn't worked ONCE when after timeout plays worked for us ALL LAST SEASON! [dang] shame if we had one. I was calling for a timeout but tommy nor mike commented on whether we had one.

Apparently we did. We've been screwed nearly half a dozen times by Stevens not calling a timeout in this situations. UGGGHHH! It's not that hard, Brad, we don't have the personnel to do that! So, so stupid. Brad isn't as smart as we all thought he was if he just continues to not see how bad this strategy is when it hasn't worked for us all year long.

Not sure I agree this time.  We had their defense off-balance and it did actually produce an open 3.  If the ball was swung the other way, it may have produce an open 3 for IT or Jae.   A timeout would have given Nets the opportunity to organize defensively -- we've been in that postion too -- unable to find a clean shot.  Remember, there was no AB or RJH available.   Brad may have been correct.

The way I see it both Thomas and Lopez are borderline All Star talents, but Lopez has size that allows him to prevail in situations Thomas gets bottled up.

The other four names are all decent players. I think Thad Young is an underrated consistent producer who brings athleticism and a physical edge to the 4 position.

If you look around the league the teams that make the playoffs year after year tend to have high quality frontcourt players. You also need a good point guard. But good point guards are easier to find.

So I think you'd have an easier time building a quality team with a Young - Lopez frontcourt as your starting point.

It's not a major difference either way, but the point is that the Nets have some really solid players at the top of their roster. That's how they manage to compete in ways that other teams with similar records often don't. They're also well coached and have plenty of veteran experience.

 Just got home and boy am I Pi ss ed that we are not in control of this game.

 I'm all on board for trading for Thaddeus Young.

Thad is ok, but Lopez is the real beast of that team.

 Agreed, but Lopez would cost too much for me. Thad could be had easily for us if the Nets would ever answer the phone again.

 Without Lopez or Young they would have a really hard time winning.
