For full disclosure of the picks--> not sold on their site since they didn't give us either of Minny's first or second round picks.

1st round
#3 (from Nets) - Jaylen Brown SF/SG (wouldn't suck if we got him)
#14 (ours) - Deyonta Davis PF (never heard of him)
#19 (from Dallas) - Stephen Zimmerman C (never heard of him)

2nd round
#31 (from Phil) - Ron Baker PG/SG (never heard of him)
#36 (from Minny though it's not shown) - Taurean Prince SF (never heard of him)
(Our second rounder at #44 would go to Utah as the more favorable between ours and Toronto)
#49 (from Dallas - for favorable of Dallas/Memphis) - Isaiah Cousins PG/SG (never heard of him)
#54 (from Miami) - Kaleb Tarczewski C (never heard of him)
#58 (from Cle) - Devin Thomas PF (never heard of him)

  • Peace it's a board. We all will never agree.

Isn't there a Draft section here too. Come on guys let's post in the right spots on the Forum.

Agree this should obviously be in the draft section.

Im guessing the poster means nbadraft.net

Im not a big fan of their mocks. I do check their site sometimes as they do a nice job of highlighting some lesser known college guys who can sneak past DX and occasionally have an interesting article.  DX has a much wider more in depth view of the draft.

As for a their Cs picks

1st round
#3 (from Nets) - Jaylen Brown SF/SG ( I'm not that impressed with him and would take Bender, Poetlt or Ellenson before him)
#14 (ours) - Deyonta Davis PF (solid but unspectacular I would think better options should be available)
#19 (from Dallas) - Stephen Zimmerman C (I like him as a long term center project, reminds me a bit of a college Meyers Leonard)

2nd round
#31 (from Phil) - Ron Baker PG/SG ( solid pick and seems like a DA type guy prob has a low ceiling but could be a rotational player at some point)
#36 (from Minny ) - Taurean Prince SF (good size wing who can shoot not a bad pick at this point)

#49 (from Dallas - for favorable of Dallas/Memphis) - Isaiah Cousins PG/SG (ive never seen him play, is a small SG with a weird stat line 45% 3PT on 4 attempts 54% FT on 3 attempts?)
#54 (from Miami) - Kaleb Tarczewski C (big old school center not a great fit for modern NBA)
#58 (from Cle) - Devin Thomas PF (classic undersized PF long shot to make a team)

I like Stephen Zimmerman.  Skill set and athleticism screams starter in this league.  Could become a high-end role player. He's athletic, 7 feet with a solid 7'3 wingspan, can shoot, can post, can pass. Just needs to improve as a rim protector and maybe get a little tougher. Isn't skinny just needs to add a little definition and strength to solid frame. Also needs to develop hisb right hand. I like him with our pick. Chris Kaman/Tyler Zeller

thanks for the info on the guys I never heard of.  have to admit, with 3 firsts this year, I'm still anticipating Nets in top 5 with Dallas and Boston a bit lower.  Keep waiting for Dallas to finally collapse and other teams in the West to finally step it up but man that conference cannot get it together for the most part.  Dallas should already be on the outside looking in.

I used to be a big fan of draft.net but I feel like the past few years their mock drafts have been more off than their competitors.

If we are picking at 3 I'd rather have Bender or Skal than Brown.

At 19/20 with our pick and Dallas' I think there will still be some quality prospects left. LeVert, Trimble, Valentine, Hayes and Stone could all be possibilities.

I'd be surprised if we drafted more than 3 guys who will be in Boston their rookie year. With all the picks Boston has accumulated you have to assume they will be drafting and stashing a lot of players.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Also another of my 2 cents if this was in fact the order with no trading picks going BPA (leaving out last two pick)  I would take.....

#14   Ellenson
#19   Bacon
#31   Hayes
#36   Troy Williams
#49   Finney-Smith

tarczewski was Arizona's starting big with Aaron Gordon, Brandon Ashley.. raw, but great rebounding instincts, quite strong for a relatively skinny guy.. some very nice inside touches, no outside game at all though, which is why he is so low, and we say no.

Really love your first two picks.

If we go with two American players with our first two picks I'd like the other picks to all be foreign guys though.

Haha.  I typed it in my browser just to make sure it wasn't a new draft site.

Really?  I have recently felt it was still far superior to draftexpress.  Then again, maybe I am bias since I was going to draft.net back in like 2001 when the site was still up and coming and a mock draft on the internet was the greatest thing I had ever seen.

Last year their mock draft was the 4th most accurate behind, Draftexpress, Espn (Chad Ford), and  CBS (Vecenie)

Not sure if people understand this thread? Isn't it funny because they have us drafting someone named Cousins, a major target of ours, with a first name Isaiah, our best player? Almost like the website is having a joke because we'd do anything to get Cousins....
