Ainge was asked about DeMarcus Cousins and while he refused to talk about him by name, he downplayed any interest in a guy that could be disruptive.

Quote
I don't think it's ever a good idea to have players that are disruptive to your team, on the court and off the court.

At top of Danny Ainge's holiday shopping list? A go-to scorer.

Quote
"I think the one thing that we could really use is a go-to scorer," said Ainge. "We have some guys that have carried us -- Kelly [Olynyk has] carried us, Avery [Bradley has] carried us, Isaiah [Thomas has] carried us, [Jared Sullinger has] carried us at moments during the season, Evan Turner has carried us -- but it would be nice to find another player that’s a reliable scorer at the end of games, night in and night out."

Right out the horses mouth and there is a debate.

I think you're kidding yourself if you think Danny won't be on the phone with Divac if Cousins is made available. Talent is talent, and it is one thing we need more of.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

If there's anything consistently true about trades, it's don't trust what you hear. Even if it comes straight from the horse's mouth... (unless it's Woj).

Put Sullinger, Turner, Young, Zeller, Lee picks in a bag.  Mix it around and trade it for a consistent scorer

Some options are, Nicolas Batum, Gallo . Not all for just one of these guys but some kind of fair deal.

I think you have forgot how much they hated dealing with Rondo and most likely don't want to go through that again. You can't have players that tell your coach to F-off, throw fits and is a ticking time bomb.

Think Galo makes the most sense. It'd be nice to get some legitimate size and shooting ability on the wing.

If he starts getting burned bring in Crowder.

I would be awfully annoyed if Cousins gets traded to another team for an offer we could have easily beat.  25 year olds averaging 25/10 don't become available very often.

They had to deal with attitude issues with Sullinger and they kept him around. If Danny and Brad really care about character issues more than talent, they could have shipped him out of town for nothing.

You really believe trader Danny when he talks about trades to the media?

Right because Danny never told us all that Rondo would be a Celtic forever.

If Cousins becomes available, we will be making an offer for him. Hands down.

For real, and Sullinger's issues outside of basketball were more serious than anything that Cousins has done. There's a difference between having a team full of bad character guys (Houston) and having perhaps one star player who has had issues in the past, though how much of that is due to being in the dysfunctional utopia that is Sacramento is unknown.

A go to scorer like say Cousins.

He didn't squash any of that.
