Are they sitting there thinking "well danny needs to move that guy (or the other guy who is competing for minutes) so lets just wait. They run the risk of losing their guy! Just not sure the leverage is as important as you think.

I agree.  In fact our guys seem to be improving and increasing their value as the season goes on.

I think a trade could happen if the right deal comes up.  So much depends on who becomes available.

Management at some point has to take chances on players sitting on another teams bench..

I'm not saying trade a brooklyn pick for a roll of the dice. Or take on a bloated contract.
 I'm saying, scouts need to identify players that are worth a shot in the dark. Maybe you get lucky finding a Whiteside type player..
