Maybe Danny already has a deal lined up--with all the DNP's that Zeller has had lately---He doesn't suck bad enough to be on the bench like this.

I like our team.  Yes this is not a championship team and we need a takeover guy BUT I'd only do a trade for a superstar.  I like our chances against any team in the nba in a series.  Our teams depth is pretty amazing.

Only a superstar? What if a Tyler Zeller or Isaiah Thomas type trade comes along?

That and with Young playing minutes the last few games makes me think he's being looked at. I know Hunter is down, but since he "hurt" his ankle in practice, gives Stevens reason to play him even though Rozier has looked a bit better, out of control and fast at times, but looks WAY more comfortable out there.

Young had one okay game and he still looks lost. He's going to take a bit longer to come along, and if there is a team that is stronger at the 2/3 spot they may take a chance on him were we need to get better at the 3.

The Love and Noel trades make absolutely no sense for the opposing teams.
If I'm either of those teams, I don't trade Love or Noel... but there's enough reason to believe that either one of those guys could potentially be traded this year based on the circumstances surrounding both teams.
There is no reason to believe Love will be traded this season.  As long as Lebron wants Love to stay, he's not going anywhere.  Now if the Cavs should fail to make it to the finals that might change things this off season.  As for the Sixers, I expect they'll wait until next season to see how the Embiid situation develops.  I suspect they'd prefer to keep the Noel/Embiid combo and move Okafor who doesn't fit the fast pace defensive style that they'd prefer to play.

Yes.  Again with our depth I like our team in a playoff series.  Zeller was a great pick up but this year he is the weakest big on team.  Any trade we do has to include a big.  We need to free up playing time for bigs by subtracting someone.  I think ainge waits for phone calls. Lee, jerebko we have vets other teams would like...what do they want to offer?  We can upgrade without gutting team.  I'd push hard off season for a star

There's actually probably no reason to "shake it up" with this team right now.  We're playing really well.  We're playing really hard.  We can hang with anyone.  Still, we have a limited ceiling and no go-to scorer.  Can this team win 50 games?  Maybe.  You know what... maybe.   Will they win a title?  Nah.  We all know the goal has been to acquire a superstar.  That hasn't changed.  Part of me is a little bummed, because I really love watching this starting 5... but I know it inevitably needs to be shaken up.    So it's going to be bitter sweet if/when this team ever acquires a legit star....

A shake up doesn't really make sense right now.  I think the team has reached a point where the only move that really makes much sense is to add a core piece.  Simply upgrading one of the spots in the starting lineup probably wouldn't make a big enough difference to make it worth giving up any assets.

Enes Kantor intrigues me but I must admit that I have some doubts based on some of the comments here about him and I have not had much opportunity to watch him play.  He is 23 years old and last year put up 19 pts / 11 rebs in 31 min.  I know it was an off year OKC but that is really good production for that young of a big.

So my trade would be Avery Bradley and either Lee or Johnson for Kantor and something.  Not sure what the something should be but maybe Waiters although that seems like a lot or maybe it is more like Huestis and a future pick.

I think giving up say Bradley and Lee for say Kantor and Waiters is actually a short terms step back for the Cs but we get that elusive young big who can be our center.  For OKC, I think Bradley would be a really good fit for them and especially to help them get by GSW. (I had a topic about this the other day but no one must have agreed)

Enes Kanter does not intrigue me, based on it being quite reasonable to believe that Lee is a better defender.

I think the premise I was operating under is that if the "core pierce" you acquired was at a position of strength (PF), you'd inevitably need to make follow-up moves.  So there would have be some shake ups.

Alright, here goes:

Trade 1 (Bring the hometown kid back): Nerlens Noel for Jared Sullinger/KO, Rozier, Mavs Pick, Philly Second

I think Noel is the big who's going to be shipped out, and this is a pretty decent package for him. He can be our defensive anchor for many, many years.

Trade 2 (Bring in the superstar): Paul George for literally anything that Indy wants (if they asked for Smart and all the Brooklyn Picks, I'd probably be okay with that)

Paul George is a two way superstar and one of the 5 best players in the NBA; he's a perfect fit.

Thomas
Bradley
George
KO/Amir/Doesn't really matter
Noel

That's a contender.

I've got a feeling the only chance we have of nabbing a star is for Cousins and it will be a very complex trade involving a third and fourth team.

I dont see us swinging a star this season. I just dont really see anyone who could be traded. POSSIBLY Noel but Philly would as a bunch. Our next star is coming with the Brooklyn pick this year

Care to explain? Do you think the Kings would be more likely to ask for players rather than picks?
