  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Anyone seen this latest pic from the Nets pre game shootaround? Lol he's enormous. Too bad if his kneesfeet can't support the extra weight but he's probably been pumping weights to strengthen that foot knee too.
Really hope this guy can play next year- would be good for basketball and the 76ers fanbase.

It looks like he's palming a women's ball, his hands are enormous lol.
Dwight Howard physique.

"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Embiid has a foot injury not a knee injury.

All weight is on the foot

Is it set in stone that he is definitely out for the entire season?
It would be great for him to be fully healed to take part in some of the season much like a Paul George did for the Pacers last season, he may even help the 76ers avoid the worst record ever in the process.
Get a few wins under the belt I say , it wouldn't hurt them to win 15-20 games and at least give the Home fans some joy along with the current players.

Part of move has been wondering if Jerry Colangelo is going to try to make a splash and if an embiid lottery ticket would be available... I wouldn't give the Brooklyn pick for it but Sully, BOS 1st ?

He's going to be unstoppable in wheelchair basketball.

It might be a woman's ball. Not a whole lot of men on the court!
Yup

A monster indeed. I'd be worried about even more pressure on that foot however.

Seems silly to add so much weight / muscle when Embiid has already suffered stress fractures in both his back and multiple stress fractures in his foot.

He's reportedly matured a lot recently under Ilgauskas' guidance, and now it is clear he has gotten in fantastic shape. I would trade Sully plus a couple of 1sts that are not Nets picks for him.

He's following a fitness and rehab program put together by a large team of top tier doctors, so I think they know what they are doing. He has very likely strengthened his whole body, upper and lower, to take stress off the joints. It was about a year ago when he was reportedly heading into Sully territory in terms of fitness level and body fat.

Celtics fans want the price for Embiid to be a middle of the 1st round pick plus one of our bigs. Philly won't settle for less than either our Brooklyn pick or a highly promising prospect who plays the 1,2,or 3 (which in spite of what overly optimistic Celtics fans think, only Smart fits that criteria).
