I've been pacing for the last 45 min so I don't know what people have been saying about end of game/end of 1st OT.  Am I the only one that was screaming "call a TO!!!" in both of those situations with tie game and time for last shot???
Im with you

It would have been interesting if they had run their offense through KO on those last few possessions.  KO had been on fire, and he is a good passer.  We seem to get a bit stagnant with the ball movement sometimes with freelancing or just running pick and roll over and over again.  A lot of standing around watching IT on those last second plays.

People are arguing about calling the timeout, my only problem was that IT4 was the only player to touch the ball both times, you can't do that against GSW when they are locked in on last possessions, you have to make them WORK!

Exactly, both teams are dead tired at that point.  Pass the ball, set some screens make something happen with teamwork.

I respect those who think Stevens made the right call. However, to me this was the worst call of his tenure as a Celtics coach

More practice between KO and IT .....or time together ....experience might yield an effective two man end of game strategy.

This team is still learning to,play together .   Spurs and Warriors have been building and playing together a lot longer

The fact that BS didn't call a TO is normal, he has been doing that all season long. What sticks out at me is the 39 fta to 16 fta. Guess which side Boston is on. We shot the ball better overall, but those 23 extra free throws killed us.

Tremendous effort, questionable refereeing, questionable coaching down the stretch by CBS, questionable decision making by IT, but overall an unbelievable game.

sigh. and of course this is the game i have to miss. thanks and a tp.

to me, to play GSW to double overtime shows how this team is progressing. they arent "there" yet, but getting closer. i expect the playoffs and the second round this year.

it is fun to follow this team once more.  :)

Just finished watching game on DVR.

Fun game. Proud to see them fight their way back in it time and time again.  I wish they'd called a timeout at the end of regulations OT.
Yup

I was kind of ok with it at the end of regulation, but after it failed miserably I was hoping he'd call a timeout in OT.

Well you missed a tremendous game.  AB was red hot at the start of the game and had a bunch of points in the 1st quarter.  AB was working his butt off to slow down curry, and did so to a point.  Our team D was pretty impressive during the whole game.  Biggest impression it gave me is us refusing to quit.  We got down by 8-10 points near the end of the 3rd quarter.  We really got after it in the 4th and refused to back down at all.  KO had a fantastic game.  He was aggressive at both ends of the court.  James Young also got big minutes and hit a 3, and grabbed a bunch of rebounds and seems to have turned the corner on figuring out how to make a contribution to the team without hurting us.  In the end Curry and Green were just too much for us.  We kind of ran out of steam in the 2nd overtime, and didn't have the right answers on offense to keep up.

I was totally fine with not calling the TO.   Ball's already in the hands of your guy who can create off the dribble and other team doesn't have time to set D.

The one move I would have made was to insert Lee at the start of the 2nd OT.  GS was ready to be beat - they were tiring and I think if you had pushed the offense button there - with a guy who can score inside- I just think they could have won it with offense at that point in the game.

YEP---Call a Timeout--and set up a play---Stevens is GREAT at those plays---but to just let his YOUNG team try to come down and score against the BEST team in the league---is HORRIBLE coaching...maybe vs. Philly you do this--NOT GS.
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

Remember the super bowl, time running out everyone screaming for a.timeout, Belichick just calmly goes with his gut, things worked out.  It didn't this time, but coaches have a sense for these things , far more than we do.  Except Grady Little.

Watched the game on league pass. Absolutely hated IT4's shot at the end of regulation. Of all the shots he could've taken on a tie game, he settles for a contested step back 3?!
