I've been pacing for the last 45 min so I don't know what people have been saying about end of game/end of 1st OT. Am I the only one that was screaming "call a TO!!!" in both of those situations with tie game and time for last shot???
Uhhh, not at all. I was SCREAMING it. This one is on Brad, no question. We have no PP, Lebron, or Curry, so we HAVE to set up a play there. Otherwise, you get those two crappy possessions with IT forcing crap.
I totally agree about the coaching, pretty inexcusable, but overall you sort of have to be proud of what these guys just did, right?
lol I don't undestand why people are hung up about not calling a time out.
They know the plays off by heart and Brad gave them the signal to run the pick and pop/roll for IT. The reason IT got the ball instead of Turner is because incase the Warriors swarmed/ICE'd the ball handler on the perimeter then IT's got a much better shot at drawing a foul or hitting the shot- despite his size disadvantage. The other major factor here is IT's ball handling ability vs Evan Turnover's occasional errors under ICE pressure.
15 seconds earlier IT burned his defender and got to the hole for an easy layup to tie the game at 103 all.
No one even came to set a pick on Livingston on the final shot of regulation and KO (for some reason) decided to run into the paint and clog it up just as IT was about to attempt a drive.
He then got a GREAT look on the final shot of OT and just didn't give it enough sauce. You'll notice Stevens telling everyone to get the *#%! out of the paint (Kelly basically standing at half way this time lol) so IT could get the shot off against less help.
Absolutely nothing wrong with the end of it. Sometimes it doesn't work out as hoped, but if you can get the last shot with the ball in the hands of your best player taking that shot then you can't ask for much more.
