Our biggest needs are that we need a star, and that we need better starting small forwards and centers. We need an offensive minded small forward and we need a rim protecting center. Not only do the Twolves have one star they have two. And not only do they have two stars, but they have them at the two positions we need, 3 and 5. And not only do they play the positions we need, but play the exact style we need. Can't they give us just one of Towns or Wiggins?
CB Mock Deadline - Minnesota Timberwolves
Kemba Walker / Tyus Jones / Aaron Brooks
Jimmy Butler / Jamal Crawford / Treveon Graham
Rodney Hood / Nic Batum / Marcus Georges Hunt
Taj Gibson / Nemanja Bjelica / Jonas Jerebko
KAT / Derrick Favors / Cole Aldrich
Picks - 2018 CHA 1st (Lotto protected), none out

Pretty sure he means they won't give us either Towns or Wiggins.

TWolves have a great young team.  C's need to hit big on a draft pick.

Thats exactly what I meant. Thank you.

There is absolutely no reason for the T-Wolves to just give away one of their two best players who both have potential to be superstars.

Oh, I know we won't be able to get either of them. Just sucks that they are such perfect fits for our team and one team has both of them.

I'm actually rooting for the Timberwolves. They've been awful post-KG era and for the first time since they traded him in 07, they look like they have an excellent future ahead of them.

The Celtics ship will come in. You just have a little longer.

True. Hopefully Simmons will become our Wiggins.

Can't have Wiggins or Towns the bad news. Good news is you could have Dieng or Muhammad.

Here's a more realistic option: The Magic. They are thriving right now and they're not playing their lottery picks from the past 2 years. Aaron Gordon and Mario Hezonja. I think those guys would fit beautifully with the Celtics. I could see something getting done. Just putting that out there.

I think they are utilizing Gordon, but they sure are not playing Mario.  That is a brilliant catch on your part!!!  What do you think it would take to get him??  He was the 5th pick last year.

They're using Gordon as a role player though and the way the team is set up, he could be expendable. They have him, Harris, Fournier, Nicholson, Frye. All guys who can play the forward. But who knows.

Unfortunately I can't see the Celtics and the Magic striking up a deal for Hezonja because the 1. The Celtics don't have much that the Magic would want and 2. I think the Celtics would be reluctant to give up their most valuable assets. The Magic don't want picks or young talent because they have plenty of that on their roster. The Magic would want proven talent that would help the team for Hezonja. The Celtics only have IT, Bradley, Sully, and Crowder as far as proven above average talent in that department, and come on, the Magic would not want any of those guys. They have plenty of good guards and forwards on their roster.

One of the few teams that could give said upgrade is the Kings. I could see a Vucevic-Hezonja-Nicholson-2017 Lakers pick for Demarcus Cousins.

The only way I see Hezonja coming to the Celtics is through a multi-team deal.

I love what the T-wolves did, but they were super lucky things went their way. It kills me that Towns is not a Celtic, but making the playoffs and missing out on Winslow or Myles Turner was worse because it was borderline negligent that we picked 16th

I like what ainge has done... Cousins Davis towns noel okafor Wiggins are all premier talents...  But they will grow up in a losing environment.. With the nets picks cbs will insert our premium talents the next years in a winning environment.. And the mentality is something very special in sports
